Relatively good stay!

The bath tub wasn’t the cleanest and there was a smell upon waking in. There was a car show and people were sitting in their chairs in the parking lot taking up parking spaces (and you could hear them from the room) But once everyone went to bed it was quiet and it was a relatively good stay!

I stayed a week in 2019 while a friend was in a local hospital. Everything I liked then holds true in 2025. Convenient and affordable. Friendly staff. Good first impressions, very clean, spacious room, comfortable bed (I chose King), nice and well-lit bathroom. Cute, inviting courtyard. I loved parking car outside my room door. Located close to many restaurants. Easy on and off I-44.

After driving 8 hours, I wanted to get into my room asap. I checked in, got my key and headed for my room; of course the key didn’t work, back to the front desk (woman very nice) she will send maintenance man right away, waiting 5 minutes no show, go back to front desk, maintenance man went to wrong room, give me new room, ok. Enter new room, hissing sound coming from refrigerator, just turn tv up. Also, latch on lock missing a screw but locked worked; did not report either issue because I did not want time wasted switching room again, just wanted to relax from the long drive. This is not a hotel, is an old motel reconditioned; the pictures look a lot better than what the place is, so don’t know how it gets all these excellent ratings. I will not be staying here again!
