Stayed here for a weekend with our doggy, daughter had just moved close by and was visiting. Could do with a bit of updating, I wouldnât recommend 5 people staying here as it was cramped for us and there was just 2 of us. The second bedroom pics showed 2 single beds but it was a single bed in there with an under bed. Shower a bit basic, thought the property was a bit overpriced really but considering itâs in the South maybe not. Central heating was good and a good supply of hot water no restrictions. Very busy road found it difficult to park at times. Good chippy at the end of the road.Weather was good, plenty to do
My wife and I came from the U.S. for a short visit and stayed at this lovely cottage near St. Albans. There are restaurants and shops close by for our provisions and easy access to local sites as well as London.
Good location, nice of host to provide tea, coffee etc. Stunning cottage decorated to high standard. Helpful if parking is highlighted (I did ring to find out). Only 4 people stayed (two adults and two children), there is also a sofa bed for 5th person. Open bedroom window at night could be problem for light sleepers as road is busy. In second bedroom, second bed is pullout and had to be placed closely together with other bed and door could not be closed. Think room could be arranged better with the beds. No problem if only one person in room.
