A great stop with our dog en route to St. Stephen border crossing. St. George is a cute seaside town between big city Saint John, and upscale resort St. Andrew by the Sea. The property is a family run (not chain) hotel, very nicely maintained but not super modern. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was serviceable.

The location was great for my stay, I could walk downtown in 5 minutes. The staff were very nice. The room has cable TV, mini fridge and microwave, though it is showing its age. The continental breakfast hit the spot for me and I liked the coffee.

I recently stayed at the Granite Town Hotel and had an overall pleasant experience. The standout feature was definitely the staff – everyone I interacted with was incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, which made a big difference in the quality of my stay. The hotel room itself was a bit dated and could use some refreshing, but honestly, that added to the charm of an overnight stay. It felt cozy and had a bit of character, which I appreciated. The location is excellent – just a short drive to town, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, or just exploring the area. My only real complaint was the bed. It was advertised as a Sleep Number bed, but it definitely wasn’t – and it was far too soft for my comfort. A better bed would have made this a near-perfect stay. Overall, if you're looking for great service, a convenient location, and a touch of old-school charm, Granite Town Hotel is worth considering. Just be ready for a soft bed!
