A little bit about the unit itself and our location . . .
The main house is a renovated Victorian circa 1880. This studio is a rear unit with a private entrance, queen bed, central air/heat, WiFi, cable TV and a kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. It is strictly a 2-person venue, there being no room for a rollaway bed. Small babies in a sleeper can be accommodated. The bathroom has a large step-in shower and there's a workstation/makeup table for your convenience. The location is super central two blocks from the bayfront and steps from the Flagler College Campus. Wedding venues are all close by and accessible in minutes. The best restaurants in town are minutes away as well on foot. For trips beyond, bikes are parked outside your door ready to explore wider horizons. Free parking with open entry/exit privileges is a few blocks away at the Municipal Garage, at 1 Cordova. Reasonable paid parking is 61 Cordova, almost adjacent to the Hideaway. It is most convenient for late arrivals. You can drive in and to the rear, where you will be fronting Spanish Street. Leave a note on the dash, something like: "Staying at 78 Spanish. Will pay by 8:30 tomorrow."

Property was perfect! In walking distance of everything you want to see. When we arrived, the wifi router needed to be reset and the property owner PROMPTLY had it fixed within minutes. We are very pleased with our stay and will definitely book again next year!

This property is in an excellent location to walk around the historic district. We parked our car and didn’t need it during our stay. We got the trolley pass for two days. It includes a bus to the beach. The host was extremely responsive. The room is as described. Small, but sufficient for our needs. We would rent it again.

Joe's property was the perfect spot for our weekend stay for a wedding in downtown St. Augustine. The studio is small, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including beach chairs and a cooler. The studio was very clean, which is always the most important to me. The location can't be beat! Walk out the door and you are right in the heart of downtown.

Owner was wonderful, had a miscommunication early on, which wasn't his fault, but he still offered an additional day to us. Location was a 30 second walk to St. George Street, we parked out car and walked everywhere all week.Would stay again!

Incredible location, can be noisy

You almost can't ask for a better location in Downtown St. Augustine. Literally a 60 second walk to St George Street, dining, shopping, and more. We parked our car and didn't look back until we checked out. That being said, the party atmosphere doesn't shut down until 2-3AM in some cases. Loud exhaust, subwoofers, party-goers etc can be noisy into the late hours of the evening. Not much anyone can do about that. The room is quaint, much like a hotel room. Bed, restroom, shower, kitchenette, what else do you need. Also the roof of the room doubles as the balcony of the 2nd floor. If your "roommates" on the 2nd floor decide to party all night, they'll be on your roof. Luckily our fellow renters were very chill and even invited us over!We plan on visiting again soon.

Great location and price point

My husband and I were looking to bring our 8-year old daughter to visit St. Augustine for the first time. This rental comfortably fits two but we were comfortable with our daughter in tow. This place is so perfectly located within walking distance to everything. The host was very nice and informative. We look forward do coming again!

Perfect location no need for vehicle at all. Parking pass for garage which is at the other end of town but unless you need your car or something out of it it was fine. Very well stocked everything I needed was included

Cozy spot for two

Although this is a small space, the bed was very comfortable and the convenience to restaurants, shops, and local attractions was awesome! One complaint: the shower liner needs to be replaced; there was mold/mildew around bottom although the shower itself was very clean. One warning: they maximized space here and the bathroom provides little privacy. Not a problem for us, but for some it might be.

The Hideaway Studio is in a great location just a block away from St George Street and just a short walk to the Trolley stop. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance. There is free parking in the city parking garage about a ten minute walk away. A parking card is provided so you can leave the parking lot and come back as often as you want.
