Stayed there over Christmas. First impression - valet. They did bring a rolling cart for our luggage, but were reluctant to help in the room or call for help if they couldn’t leave the front (which is understandable). On Christmas Day our room was barely cleaned - bed was made, however room wasn’t vacuumed, none of the garbage bags in trash cans were replaced - they did take garbage out, just never put new bags in. We didn’t really care about that - they made THEIR life harder - we just threw garbage in cans and they would have to empty it out by hand, rather than pulling bag out. Our water (2 bottles every day, that was a part of $22 resort fee) was also not replaced - I guess that way they save money and environment. Front desk was unreachable by phone - we called to see if cafe was opened on Christmas Day, no answer. Then we texted the phone they texted us every day from, and they responded after 40 minutes, stating that cafe closed 5 minutes ago. If they responded earlier, we would have had time to come back. Overall subpar hotel with subpar staff.

Room was very clean, check in was easy, everyone who works there was super friendly. I do not like that Valet parking is the only way to go. I don't want to have to basically make an appointment just to get something from my car. The valets were always nice and accommodating but I would prefer to take care of my own car. Having that option would have been nice. This will factor in to my decision as to whether I would stay there again or somewhere else.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Check in and out was easy, though the person checking us in made us feel distinctly unwelcome. The evening reception is a nice touch, and breakfast was great. One point of contention was the amenities (pool/ hot tub) closing at sunset. During summer months, this makes perfect sense, but on the shorter winter days, closing the hot tub at 6 feels… short.

During my five day stay, everynight there were numerous empty cups all over the seating areas. No one to clean the fire pits seatings with patrons garbage, plates and cups. For the price we paid.. breakfast buffet was ordinary like what La Quinta Whynham services except omelets made to order. The ash trays were never emptied and no rain coverage if it rained in the only one place smoking area. The daily complimentary cocktails were fine..Overall i give this hotel a 6 out of 10. Over $1700 for 5 nights..????unfortunately I've stayed at better hotels for less money.

At almost $300. per night it was a huge disappointment. The room was just an ordinary room you could get anywhere. It was nice that the breakfast was included in the price but it was the same everyday. No variation. Christmas Dinner was horrible! They offered Prime Rib, tough, grizzle runner throughout, and served with the cow still mooing!!! So rare. Our waitress said that's how it's being served. It was cold and uneatable. The staff of the hotel itself were very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed touring St. Augustine. The hotel was not what I expected. Will not return!!!!
