I spent a week at the Mermaid Studio; it was just as described. It was very clean, private and quiet. There were some previous comments about lacking a kitchen sink, but they installed a very nice, large sink in the kitchen. Check in and checkout was a breeze. The memory foam bed was beyond comfortable.The hosts are very nice, considerate and quick to respond to questions and requests.The location was perfect! 15 minutes to the beach and a 20-30 minute drive to everywhere I needed to go. The pool hours (7am-8pm) were great. There were Adirondack chairs on the upper apartment deck, but a lounge chair at the pool would have allowed time to ‘relax and lounge’ at pool side.Overall, it is a perfect place for 1 or 2 people to enjoy the St Augustine area and I would highly recommend it.

Older female traveling on my own. It was convenient to where I was working and there were multiple areas to eat within a 5 mile drive. (Highly recommend Ned’s Southern Kitchen as a place to grab a bite. Cloves the low country shrimp and grits). Will definitely book again if available next time I am in the area for work-no hesitation! Thanks for a wonderful lodging option 👍

Cozy and efficient

We stayed late February to early March. Bit too cool to use the pool. Weather was fine for relaxing on the deck and enjoying coffee in the morning. We spent most of our time in St.Augustine visiting the sites so the smaller apartment worked fine.It’s a short drive into town and the area is pretty quiet. This place works well for two but if stairs are a problem look elsewhere. We’d stay there again if we were to visit the area. Hosts are friendly and accommodating,

So much better than a motel - I'd stay here again

This is a very peaceful place to stay. We spent our days in town and it was just wonderful to get back to this place every evening. You climb stairs to get into the place. We like being up, and stairs are not a problem for us, so it was great. As explained in the listing, it doesn't have a full kitchen, but you can make your coffee and heat stuff in the microwave. Dishes and silverware are all there (wash 'em in the bathroom sink, no kitchen sink). This is a great place for a couple to spend a week or two.

Safe Location To Stay

The Owners Live Below Rental So Always Available To Ask Them Your Questions. This Sized Studio Fits 2 Adults For About A Weekend But We Stayed 2 Weeks So Would Have Loved If They Had A Stove And Kitchen Sink. Heat Is Regulated By Owners So When It Got Colder At Night It Got Colder Inside But When I Told Owners Next Day Then Raised The Temperature .

Perfect stay

The host was very easy to get in touch with, the Space was clean and welcoming. Had everything I needed just as described in the listing. Very quiet neighborhood close to shopping and I had a car so I can get around very easily. Self check-in instructions were super clear. I would stay here again.

Beautiful quiet retreat

There are stairs, in case anyone needed to know that. There are chairs on a deck at the top of the stairs to sit in and have your morning coffee. The only negative thing about this space that I found was having to clean any dishes in the only sink which is located inside the bathroom. I didn't use the pool though it looked inviting. It was perfect for me and accurately described.

The interior was nice it would be nice if someone clean the refrigerator and defrost the freezer since you couldn’t put anything in it the beautiful pool they represented was full of leaves and looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time the view from the room which they portrayed as beautiful was of a garage an old trailer, an old van, and a pile of construction debris at the end of the driveway definitely wouldn’t stay there

Was in town on business for a few days and needed a place to sleep and work. This rental was perfect. Comfortable bed, convenient location, very quiet, and the pool was SO refreshing in the afternoons. I was driving a large pickup and the hosts offered generous parking as well. Would highly recommend.

Loved my vacation

The place was just as described. We loved how it was a small space but didn't feel as such. Anytime I contacted the owner, he responded within minutes. The pool was a great attribute to the property. Loved coming back from the beach or town, and able to cool off in the pool. Everything we needed was available to us. The property was in a calming area. Enjoyed sitting on the deck at night and listening to nature. Our only complaint would be the bed. The center of the bed had a hump. Made it difficult to cuddle. All in all, I would definitely rent again!! Thank you for an enjoyable stay!
