Worth considering for a stay at Vilano Beach

A modern design on a quiet residential street less than 400yds from the beach - and a similar very walkable distance to two local restaurants. We particularly liked the large screened balcony. Like most of the accommodation. this is on 2F - so you look out onto the trees and bushes that screen the property from its neighbours. The large open living space - lounge / dining table / kitchen - inside is great too. Not a problem for us, but just be aware if you are a larger group that - as mentioned in some other reviews - the 3rd bathroom is across the yard from the main building. Probably best used for showers after the beach. If you already know the area, you'll know that the main attraction is the beach which - very literally - goes on for miles. We loved it, but if you're looking for action and nightlife, you'll probably find yourself driving to St Augustine or St Augustine Beach. Not a big problem - just something to be aware of.

Fit our needs

This house was exactly what we needed for the group we had. It was a good configuration of bedrooms and enough bathrooms. The downstairs ping pong table kept the 3 kids/teens busy and the bikes were also a bonus for kids and adults. Easy walk to beautiful and uncrowded beach.

Great location

Perfect place near the beach. Quiet neighborhood and loved the porch to chill out in the mornings. Lots of vegetation around the house so you were not on top of the neighbors. Not far from St Augustine and hiking trails.

Vilano Beach Getaway

Great location with large space to accommodate a larger family! Good layout with great supply of kitchenware and amenities for cooking! Great balcony porch and overall comfortable and relaxing. I would recommend if you need a whole house in the Vilano beach area.

Nice place. Enjoyed St. Augustine. Weather was very cool which limited use of outdoor area. Think it should be mentioned that the 3rd bathroom is in unattached building. Location should say 'Vilano Beach' area.

Great house and location, major drainage issues

Good location close to the beach, excellent amenities. Issue: the house is located below sea level, and the entire lot below the house floods with heavy rain fall. On day we checked in for a three-day weekend, there was heavy rain. The entire lot had 6"+ of water that created challenges to enter / exit, especially with pets.

Amazing!

This property was absolutely perfect! They house was very clean, the layout was amazing, and the host made sure everything went without incident. I will come stay here again. Very close to the beach. The most striking thing about it was the privacy, though there are neighbors, the foliage and layout of the landscaping gives it the appearance that you are all alone. I really can't say enough about how great this place is. Stayed 5 nights, went to the beach everyday. We had 8 people in our party, 4 adults and 4 children. Beds were nice and cozy, played lots of ping pong, and just had a wonderful time.

2023 Family Trip

We had a wonderful 3 1/2 day family getaway! The house was very neat and clean, roomy living area and kitchen/dining area for the 5 of us, 3 generations. Loved the porch upstairs and felt safe with the grandson out there because of the extra sturdy wire on the bottom half of the porch. The area is nice and quiet and close to the beach, shopping and dining. And our hosts were always ready if we needed them. What a perfect Getaway!

Verano Beach Florida

Overall we had a great time at the house. Wish I would have known it was Valano beach though. I have to admit it was partially my fault because I did not spell out the number twelve when I looked up directions. I assumed since it said St. Augustine that was the beach it was on where there would have been more things within walking distance. The location is nice and secluded for a traveler that might want that though. The only other thing I disliked was that the beach access that was in walking distance is very steep with a telephone pole laying halfway across it. There are no stairs and no trash can or bathrooms there either, so you have to haul your trash back. It really is a lovely house though with everything you need except groceries!😊 Also the neighbor across the street is super nice and can give you some great tips on places where the locals eat!

Secluded Florida Relaxation

I had a wonderful time with my wife and kids and parents at this home. It was a cool feeling approaching the property and feeling like I was in a secluded Florida bungalow with forest providing privacy. The proximity to the beach was great and they have bikes to ride back and forth if needed. The other amneties they offered were much appreciated. (My daughter loved the boogie board and my parents appreciated the beach chairs). Close by was a gem of a restaurant in Aunt Kates. Great food and atomosphere. Andrew and Melody were fantastic hosts who communicated very well and made the check in and check out process a breeze. If you want to feel secluded in a modern take of a Florida bungalow give this home a whirl!

Wonderful experience.

Lovely house, grounds. Great outdoor ammenities. Suggestions: Should disclose that 3rd bath is outdoors. Kitchen lighting is very inadequate. Recommend binder with pertinent info. We were unable to connect to internet and unable to contact for help. Overall, great! Would definitely book again.
