This property had every single thing we needed all we had to bring was us, clothes, and groceries. The house is in a beautiful and quiet location that isnât far from town. I was there for residency at school and it was the perfect place to come home to and rest each night. I felt at home and safe. So perfect.
This is the third time we've stayed at this location but this is the first time we had unpaid guests. We caught two mice in a trap that we had to put out and there was evidence that they've been there a while. We noticed pumpkins by the back door which are festive around Halloween but they were obviously mouse food and they found their way into the house. Sorry, but we won't be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as this little gem. It is one of two houses on this section of the street and is very quiet.
The kitchen is well equipped. A nice bonus is that it includes a washer and dryer. The queen size bed was too soft for my taste, but we would stay here again
Great location, very fair price, clean and comfortable
For a long weekend in the area, this was a great place for my wife and I, two of our adult sons and our dog. The house was clean and comfortable and just off a nice park trail for our pup.
Kitchen supplies (spices and oils) were somewhat limited, so bring your own if you intend to cook. Pots and pans were adequate. Host supplied Keurig cup coffee.
The good: The property parcel itself was great. Absolutely wonderful location near everything, and the wooded area behind the house was beautiful. Long driveway and ample parking, which meant we didn't feel cramped with our 2 SUVs.
The bad: The house had some sealing issues around the main door by the laundry room. There is/was likely a bug issue, because the sugar and oil were both stored in the refrigerator. Heat was hard to control. We didn't feel comfortable with the swing, since it creaked any time I pulled on it. Low water pressure in the shower.
For the price, it was a little bit expensive for what it was, but my family mostly went to Taylors Falls to be outside and not in the VRBO for long periods of time.
Love how this home is nestled in the woods yet close to town for a walk to shops, trails, etc. Home could be cleaned better, specifically cobwebs and spiders along corners and especially upper rooms. We appreciated the fans & AC unit as our Fall weekend was a humid, hot one!
The place was decent however 2 of the beds are futons and very uncomfortable. The house smelled different in every room and not in a good way. Gnats, so many gnats everywhere it was hard to even eat inside. Kitchen stunk the worst. Had high hopes for this place being close to our event but unfortunately we won't be back.
Mattress was comfortable, great location to wineries/boat tour. Only downside is septic smell in the house and when you flushed the toilet waste water would seep out from the base. I also emailed the owner asking if there was a grill and never received a response
We enjoyed our stay very much! Cozy and quiet. Our family reunion was so much better because we had the chance to share this home in each other's company.
Cute property in ok location near town, donât recommend walking to town though because on the way back you will have a gnarly hill to walk back up. The queen bed downstairs and double bed upstairs are comfortable. The two futon fold outs are very small and better for a kid than an adult. Iâm tall and therefore we could sleep on either futon without head and feet going over the edge. There was no hair dryer that we can find so I recommend bringing one or confirming with the host this has been added. The dishwasher had a bad leak and this needs to be fixed asap. Lastly it seemed like the house hadnât been opened up in a while because it smelled really musty and there were cobwebs on light fixtures. The rest of the lace seemed clean and there were lots of fluffy nice towels.
