This motel probably could use some updating however it was quiet, centrally located to downtown and ferry docks and day trips to Drummond Island, Whitefish Point, Tahquamenen Falls. The couple who operate it are very friendly, accommodating and professional. A nice change from the major hotel chains. Room was roomy. The fridge was small but worked which was a plus for us. Would stay there again.
Super clean bathroom and sleeping area. The exterior is a throwback to the 60s motorcourt era but that hides a modern, comfortable room. The manager/owner was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends.
The front desk person was very nice and gave us suggestions on where to eat and what to visit during our stay, and let us know about the Saturday night fireworks. The hotel is older, so smelled a little musty when we first went in, but once the a/c was on, it seemd to go away. It was a nice sized room, with a fridge, microwave, tv and small table to sit at.
Very basic room with dated furnishings that somehow look brand new. Everything was spotless. Great bed and cable selections. No breakfast. Security is an issue, as they still use old-style keys you insert into the doorknob instead of the deadbolt, making it easy for someone to jimmy when you're out of the room.
The pictures on the website should be updated as the rooms are really nice and modern.
St Ignance town center is within walking distance, as are the ferry docks.
Extremely clean room, very convenient location! The owner checked us in (very friendly) and they even have discount tickets for the ferry to Mackinac Island! Highly recommend this cute motel.
