Great stay. Loved the privacy. The house is as advertised, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. Nice Mountain view’s from the pool. Ability to dim almost every light inside to match the mood. Strong AC was a plus. Great value.

Beware of Manager!

We arrived a few hours early with groceries in tow and were confronted (not greeted) by Jared the manager who told us ‘not my problem’ when I simply asked to put perishables in the fridge. He was rude and argumentative. Not a good welcome!! The other manager Keri was nice via text updates. House was well equipped but the photos were wide angle and misleading. The pool is tiny, maybe 8x12 ft. A disappointment. Kids didn’t use it. House was otherwise well equipped. The layout is wonky. Get ready to share the ensuite with the rest of your party sleeping upstairs as there is no other option. Downstairs bath was barely adequate. Super small dentist type sink on top of the toilet tank. Would hardly call that a half bath. My son showered outside for two weeks. The road in and out is a cow path. Overall it was fair but would not return.

Great communication with property management

Unfortunately our trip fell apart within hours of boarding our plane and we never made it to St.John. That said, we were definitely interested in staying here and my communication with the property management team was exemplary and very professional. We hope to try again in the future.

Quiet retreat in Coral Bay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is perfect spot for a couple seeking privacy, away from busy Cruz Bay. You definitely want a 4WD Jeep, we would not recommend anything else. Reserve early because we met a few people who wanted to rent a Jeep but they were all booked. The king bed was very comfortable, on the softer side. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals (ate out once in 10 days). The pool was fabulous to come back to after a busy day on the hiking trails, snorkeling and boating (recommend renting a Boston whaler for a full day). We didn’t use the room downstairs other than to do laundry. We did not need to watch TV downstairs so no problem not having TV upstairs. My husband loved the outdoor shower, he never did shower indoors! Jared was very responsive and communicated with us quickly. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Beautiful private property.

It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main land. It was clean and quiet. The outside area was amazing. The outdoor pool area lighting was great, but pop the lights off for a few minutes to really take in the gorgeous night sky without the light pollution we have become accustomed to. It is breathtaking.

The Island in a nutshell

The property is fine. The road coming in is as others stated. FYI, a taxi will refuse to come in, so you will need to drive a short distance out, if you need that service, as we did to go to a wedding with no parking available. I’m used to staying in places without toilets or electricity so the mouse in the basement running by my feet while on the toilet was no problem. Still 4 stars because it’s super cute and fun, plus things happen. A star was lost when I woke up after sweating and saw rust stains on the sheets. Investigation reveals some period blood, not mine, had wicked up from the mattress pad onto the sheets. Biohazards cost a star in my book. After washing the thick mattress pad and all the bedding after it all fell out of the circle of trust I get why the cleaning person gave up and covered it. It took a day. For the venue, this property is an absolute gem. Just know the coffee pot stays on for the entire day until turned off and the thick crust under the pot is a tribute to humans not accidentally starting a fire—and the toaster won’t stay down, so adapt and overcome while toasting in the oven broiler. Really, this is the perfect place to summarize the entire island. It probably deserves another star for that—and I’m searching on Amazon for that mattress pad, because it was super comfortable.

Private clean amazing villa stay!

Overall we had the BEST Vacation! The house is adorable and my teenage daughter loved to have her own mini condo downstairs. Very clean and enjoyable! Having a gate to the house made us feel more secure from the roaming Donkeys that are friendly! Plenty of space and had everything we needed to cook with! Grill was clean and amazing. Pool was a great treat after the day at the beach. The outdoor shower was perfect to get all the sand off! The road to the house is "off roading". Anyone that cant drive off road may have issues. My kids and I didnt mind it. It rained a few days and the roads get slippery. Be ready for a driving adventure...I didnt mind it as we had so much privacy at the house. My only suggestions would be to add more sleeping pillows for comfort. We each had one pillow and would have liked to have two. Also 2 beach chairs were broken and super rusty so we only had 2 to use. The windows wouldn't open in the house. We kept the A/C on when we were there but would have preferred the windows open to enjoy the breeze.

Lovely little jungle getaway.

It was a great private and secluded residence where we felt comfortable and safe. I would not recommend this for anyone not comfortable driving a 4 wheel vehicle but then again that's all anyone should be driving on St.John anyway! The pool was refreshing as well.

Great Escape!

Our 2nd time staying at New Moon was just as wonderful and memorable as the 1st. The villa was clean and inviting, and the pool was immaculate as ever! The property managers were very responsive and helpful. Excellent location, very private and safe. Can’t wait to come back!!

Peaceful Property

We really enjoyed our stay at New Moon. Basement was a bit musty smelling and dark, so we didn't go down there to watch tv. But who needs to watch tv in St. John. The property is peaceful with beautiful flowers and tropical trees, that was our favorite part.

Nice, clean, private, comfortable house with beautiful grounds in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. Deck and pool are perfect for non-beach chill out days and the screened-in porch is lovely. Owner and property managers are friendly, laid-back, good communicators, and very helpful. We loved our time here, would come back again!

Excellent Coral Bay Gem

I highly recommend this property if you’re looking to stay in the Coral Bay side of STJ. It’s a very quiet, secluded property with nice amenities and sleeps 4-5. Great pool and deck as well as a double hammock up on a perch above the main house. Kitchen is a perfect size, and beach amenities are provided for guests. The drive to the house is a little challenging at first, but once you get the route down, it’s easy to get back to. House is located centrally to the Hwy 20 turnoff to the north shore beaches, East End beaches and south shore beaches. The host and property manager were very attentive to visitors’ needs and checked in during the trip. All in all a gem in the best part of STJ!

Nestled in the trees in Coral Bay upper Carolina

This is a charming home nestled in the trees. We stay in St John several times a year and this is one of the best priced homes on the island for what it offers. The master bedroom has a king size bed and is very comfortable however it takes up the entire room so you cannot walk around to get in or out for the person on the inside. No AC in the master bedroom. You have to sleep with the panels open to pull ac from the living room. It was hot so we closed the storm doors to keep the house cool day and night. The second bedroom really is not a bedroom it is a small addition area that is SO HOT and no ac with 2 twin beds side by side and no window coverings so up at the crack of dawn. Great for kids. We closed it off and put luggage in it. To watch TV you have to go outside, down the front steps and under the house to the media room. It is cool, dark and has AC and a toilet, full size laundry and a counter top with a sink. It really looks like it is the belly of a ship. Outside the pool is very relaxing, a great deck and a new gas BBQ. The screened in porch is great for morning coffee. You will have lots of geckos, mosquito's and jack Spaniards around due to the woodsy location. You will need 4x4 to get to it but it is fun. Our biggest downside was the mosquitoes. We stayed in Rendezvous a week before and not 1 bite but here we were covered in 2 days. The trees/woodsy location brings the mosquitoes. Great home and accommodations.

All star in paradise.

I would offer all the stars in the galaxy for this rental. An oasis in paradise. We had everything we needed, peace, and traquility. 4X4 very helpful. We will be back.
