This was my second trip to Antigua. The first time I stayed at Royalton Chic 10/10. This Royalton was definitely not a nice. The check in process was extremely slow. The food was mid 5/10. The drinks were also mid 6/10. Some staff members were pleasant others were not accommodating. I would not visit this property again. If I return to the Isiah’s I’d go back to Chic or try Sandals.

The staff at the front desk were inflexible, one was rude (Saffiyah) and they are unable to make any changes regarding bookings. We booked an ocean view for the last night of our stay accidentally and they said they could not change us to a mountain view on the system (despite us already being in a mountain view where we continued to stay for the additional night). They were unable to provide an ocean view early enough for us so we decided to stay in our current mountain view room. (We didnt get rooms until after 430pm on check in and didnt want to risk waiting that long again). They made us "voluntarily' sign a form saying we voluntarily took a room downgrade without any reimbursement for the difference in price. There was no budging with them so we did. Then asked if at least we could get a complimentary late checkout as we technically paid extra for the room we are in. They said no. After much asking on our part they agreed to 1pm checkout. Then on the day of checkout they said we cant checkout at 1pm anymore. The front desk and reception at this hotel os just a mess. Did i miss that our original check in took about 2 hours? Horrendous, no flexibility, bad customer service. Not all the staff were bad at the hotel but not all were noce either. For a Royalton hotel i was really shocked at the overall service level at this hotel.

Me and a number of my cousins stayed at the Royalton for our family reunion and overall we really enjoyed it. There were plenty of amenities for us and the kids to enjoy and the food and drinks were good. There were some food options that were not the best, but there were also plenty of food options, so there was always something for everyone. The drinks were strong and endless and there was something for us to do at almost all hours of the day or night. The spa was great, the gym had pretty much all the equipment you would need for a solid workout, the pool and beach area were well stocked and clean, and offered plenty of free activities. My only real issue with the property was the property conditions. Overall it was clean and fairly well kept, but there were for sure some areas that needed maintenance. There are some cracks in the walls and the tile in our bathroom had a pretty serious crack. But overall the resort was nice, the service was great, and we all had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend the Royalton Antigua to anyone looking for an all inclusive stay in Antigua. Solid 8/10 for the price.

Transport & internet was excellent Bed was comfortable Food options was good Service at hunter's restaurant was terrible ,as our reservation was at 8 pm ...we got our dinner at 10:30 , and we couldn't get what we wanted on the menu...we didnt go to our reservation at Gratzie because of the cats ...the cats ruined our dinner in the cari bean restaurant ,as a couple of us hv allergies (cats hair). Never expected to see cats in restaurants...we had an excellent time at royalton cancun that's the reason we chose royalton Antigua expecting the same experience .
