The house was well appointed with everything that we needed. The details in this home were so amazing. Within a few minutes of being in the house one granddaughter said, “This is the coolest house I’ve ever seen. Each time we went into a room we saw something we hadn’t seen before. Even though the home was very old, it had all of the modern conveniences for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this home for a memorable stay.

We had such a wonderful stay! The Harry Potter themed dĂ©cor was incredible, and we couldn’t think of a single thing that wasn’t provided. The kids especially loved the candy wall and having all the movies available to watch. The attention to detail was amazing, we kept noticing new touches every time we looked around. Creative Magical Memories

This place was beyond spectacular! It is one of the most intriguing places I’ve ever stayed & hope to come back soon. The detail was impeccable & I just love the creativity & care they put into their home. Anyone could get lost into a magical world & leave reality behind for a bit here. it had everything you could need, it was very clean & so comfortable. The host was wonderful as well. If you’re looking for some laughs & great memories without much effort then book it!

Family Base Camp for youngest daughter's wedding

Wow! This was the most amazing place to call home for a week for 8 adults (ages 27-90). The house is even better than the listing shows. We had a great time exploring the house and all it's little details, but we also appreciated the ability to call this place home for a week. The rooms were huge and all had sitting areas in them, so getting away from everything was always a possibility. Bathrooms were giant and had everything you could ever need provided for you. The kitchen was very well appointed and we were able to enjoy many family meals in the dining room. The back porch was a great place to hang out in the evening - shaded, out of the wind and overlooking the huge back yard. I can still hear the birds singing in the trees :). We even had a little St Joseph weather fun our last night. A big storm came through - complete with tornado sirens for about an hour - we were tucked in perfectly in our brick fort. Loved every part of this stay and if we find ourselves back in St. Joe's again, this will be our first choice.

All the feels

We absolutely adored The Hallows. Very clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked with anything we may have needed, and the host was fantastic. We loved the character of the home, and the fact that it was decorated in way that was not cheesy, and not childish. It was very magical, and we enjoyed looking at all the details. The area was very cool architecturally, and we loved driving around the area, but it didn’t feel like it was great part of town. We went to the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, and the zoo and aquarium in KC. The only disappointment with the house was the lack of furniture around the television, and the television color and sound itself. We would have liked to have felt cozier while watching tv, and hanging out with our family in that room specifically. We had a lot of fun on the trip, and really loved the house itself. The pictures really don’t do it justice. They knocked it out of the park.

Magical Stay at The Hallows – A Birthday Tradition!

This was our third time staying at The Hallows, and it truly gets more magical with every visit! My twin sister and I celebrated our birthday here, and once again, it was an unforgettable experience.From the moment you step inside, you’re transported into the Wizarding World. Each bedroom is beautifully themed to a Hogwarts house, with an extra-special room inspired by Dumbledore’s office – a dream for any Harry Potter fan! The large, well-equipped kitchen has everything you could possibly need, plus a charming candy shop for those late-night sweet cravings.The multiple gathering areas provide plenty of space to relax and spend time with friends, and the grand table in the Great Hall is perfect for playing games or enjoying a feast worthy of Hogwarts. The entire house is always spotless, well-stocked with essentials, and managed by a team that is easy to contact and incredibly helpful.We love this place so much that it’s become a birthday tradition, and we can’t wait for our next stay! If you’re a Harry Potter fan looking for an immersive experience, The Hallows is pure magic.

Highly recommend!

We rented The Hallows for our adult kids as a Christmas gift. There were a total of 9 of us. The pictures do not do this place justice. The detail and the work that went into the house are amazing. Our kids had so much fun just looking at all the items that related to the movie. The host was amazing and answered all our questions immediately. The home was stocked with everything you could need and more. We have already sent pictures to friends and family to recommend a weekend getaway here. Thank you so much!

Magical Christmas

We used St Joe as a half way point for my family's Christmas. We are 4 couples and 3 kids ages 3 to 5. The house was amazing! You never know what a stocked kitchen really entails but this kitchen was just like home. The HP theme was on point - there was not an inch of space undecorated. There was a game to search for horcrux in the house as well. The big table in the dining room seated us all. Would 100% recommend

This is an incredible experience for any Harry Potter fan! The decor is amazing -- there is much to see. Look at a shelf or table 3 times and you will notice something you hadn't seen before. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. The grandkids vied for who got each Hogwarts house theme. Pantry and kitchen were nicely stocked. Wish there was a full bath downstairs rather than 1/2, but understand the space limitations and remodeling a vintage home. Overall, we had an excellent visit!

The house was great! We loved the details of each room and the Horcrux Hunt (so fun)! The owner was excellent communicating with us on our stay. For cleanliness, I rate it a 3 because of the outside of the house. There were vines growing through the BBQ pit so we weren’t able to use it. Outside of that, it was a great time!

Tons of character with a very considerate host

The house is extremely unique with a ton of attention to details. That is true for the house and furnishings but also in the way the house is stocked. Unlike other places where you can’t find spare toilet paper this one has everything you need and things can actually be found. No question I would recommend this property to others.

Fantastic house!

I don't know if I could put into words how wonderful this place was. I'll start with the basics. Communication A+, cleanliness A+, comfort of beds was an A+ from all 5 of us. Check in and check out was a breeze. The house was well stocked with all the basics and plenty of extras (candy!) ;-). We all loved staying here and wish we could have stayed longer. The attention to detail throughout the home was incredible. Well done to our hosts! We sorted ourselves into rooms via the sorting hat with a little help from one our friends who created our Hogwarts acceptance letters. If you are a Harry Potter fan, then staying here is a must and even if you know very little about HP but love older homes then staying here is a must.
