The location and neighborhood were good. The apartment itself was fine. Things that were not great: the temperature could not be regulated except by opening a window or running the window air conditioner... In February. This was not mentioned in the listing. Hot water was slow to non existent. It was noisy. This is probably due to it being an old building, but one doesn't want to hear one's neighbors' conversations... Or other things. The sleeping area was incredibly bright from outside light. Black out curtains would have been very helpful. Earplugs and a sleep mask are recommended. My wife and I ended up leaving in the middle of the night because it was impossible to sleep there. We will not be staying at this location again. We do not recommend.
Absolutely loved this quaint little apartment in Hi-Pointe area. Lots of places to eat and drink that are close by and walkable distance.
Only down side was having a plasma TV that had an image burnt into it. But it was an amazing experience and if I ever go back to St Louis. Iâll probably pick this area again.
The place was nice and comfortable. The parking garage is small and not the easiest to maneuver around in. We just parked on the street for the second night because it was easier.
This property worked well for me for my trip to STL. The location is accessible to so many fun things you can do in the city, plus provides quick and easy access to I-64/40. The neighborhood is safe and fairly quiet. You can hear the hustle and bustle of the city and neighbors around you, but nothing out of the ordinary or disturbing. The kitchen and bathroom are good-sized for a small apartment. There is a window unit that will be needed for hot and humid STL summers, but I was there on a mild weekend and was able to open windows for a nice breeze. There is a garage available for parking, but I wound up using street parking, as I found it difficult to maneuver my larger car out of the parking space and garage. Overall, this is a nice place to crash when you have a busy trip planned.
