The hotel was clean, and the room was nice. Breakfast was either low quality ingredients or lack of knowledge by whoever prepared it. However at the end of the stay is when things were really bad. A pair of tennis shoes was left in error on our behalf , which were a very expensive pair of shoes that are no longer made and had been very well maintained so we're clearly not trash. We called within a couple of hours of leaving when we realized they'd been left under the sink in the bathroom and were initially told the cleaning staff said there had not been any issues left. We however had stopped by and ask to see in the room to be sure. They were not in the room and after the front desk staff expressed their hesitant to ask the cleaning team anything further stating they were afraid of them and neither of them spoke English, they allowed us to ask them about it to which the cleaning staff was now saying they did see the shoes but they had been advised to throw them away. We're absolutely sure those shoes were kept and likely are being sold because they are very expensive collector items. And the entire interaction with the staff was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional

Room. First room had its issues. Staff took care of it and placed me in another for that night. Next day went into my (original) room and I struggled to open the door. Handle was put on wrong so I kept running into the door. The rooms are definitely outdated as far furniture goes. Can’t say to much about the patrons that stay during the visit. It definitely needs some upgrades. I got videos concerning my discrepancies. Was my water hot. YES! Was my bed comfortable YES Did My tv work. Yes Was it spacious. Yes. I don’t know if I’m in a buying it is absolutely. Got into with staff about wash rags when I didn’t have any. The fact I had to go back and forth about a rag was absurd. Location right off the high but with the road work getting into the parking lot can be a headache Normally Laquinta is better than what I encountered so a bad day is bound to happen. 20bucks more you get a better room somewhere else with more amenities. Can Laquinta do better. ABSOLUTELY. No matter what you got to uphold the standard. If you need a place to stay and on a budget would I recommend. Ya. But u might have a slip up here or there.

At check-in, I had requested making sure there was enough bedding for all five of my people that was staying with me. I was told they would send some to our room. They never brought any sheets pillows or blankets to our room. So I asked again. I was told that I couldn’t get any pillows or blankets till the following morning. However, I was only staying the one night so what does that do? I was left sleeping on the floor with no pillows or blankets. My children all had to sleep in the king size bed because that’s the only pillows sheets and blankets that were provided in a room with five people staying in it. I was told by front desk that there was no other pillows and blankets because the hotel was fully booked. But I’m confused on if I was included in that booking number why there wasn’t enough pillows and blankets provided for my room where I booked for five people to be staying in?? The pullout mattress was tiny and all stained up and had crumbs in it. But we never received the bedding to make it anyway. The bathroom smelled like urine terribly. The bathtub dripped the whole time. The bedroom TV remote doesn’t even work. There were cobwebs and bugs and broken door handles. I have never experienced something like this before staying at a hotel so it was just wild.

Staff were extremely friendly. Room felt really clean. Hotel had a convenient location and parking was great! However, the building is extremely outdated. Key cards had issues working, pillows were terribly uncomfortable, shower didn’t have good water pressure or a non slick surface which made it dangerously slippery. Sink would stop up. TV’s volume was locked and hard to hear. Furniture in room was old. Fresh towels were unavailable for 1 night as they didn’t have any available. Staff did everything they could to help which I appreciated! In conclusion, I recommend it for an acceptable budget friendly hotel with a potential to be excellent after a remodel.

I stayed here for a business trip for 3 days and got a great deal all considered with the cleanliness of the hotel, the upkeep, the 24/7 availability of coffee and the hotel front desk help were all very nice.The bed was so comfortable & the bathroom was in perfect shape. A microwave & a mini cooler is also helpful. I will be staying here again the next time I come into Maryland Heights.
