Charming historical home was a cozy and clean place to stay. Everything was easy to find, tidy, and nicely decorated. We had plenty of room to spread out and the bedrooms upstairs were cool and very comfortable. We appreciate that parking was convenient as well. This worked out great for a special getaway with family.
This property was exactly as advertised. Historic, clean, charming, and located within walking distance to historic St. Charles. Being a vintage property, though, the stairs are VERY steep, and with the bedrooms upstairs and the only bathroom downstairs, you go up and down a lot. There also isn't a paved sidewalk from the parking pad to the house, so you have to walk through the grass/weeds. We also had an issue with the air conditioner repeatedly beeping during the night :( As long as the air conditioner situation would be remedied I'd stay again.
We came here for a small bachlorette and it turned out really well! We had plenty of space and it was close to things we wanted to do. It's a block off a main road so it was convenient parking and accessible, even with our mini party bus. Rachel was super friendly and quick to respond with any questions I had so we would definitely stay here again.
Close to everything in St. Charles, Great property
Property was terrific. I stayed with my husband and our almost 2 year old to visit family in St. Charles for 4 days. Cool older home, but updated with modern conveniences. Both bedrooms were upstairs and got a little toasty, but central AC a window box in one room made it very comfortable. It was a great stay and a great find for the price! Neighbors were friendly and it was located on a quiet street that was still very close to everything. A note is that the stairs are steep and the bathroom is downstairs (away from the two bedrooms), so for little ones or older folks, it may be something to be mindful of.
We were only there for one night we attended a wedding in Saint Charles. This cozy property was very clean and well stocked. Host was very helpful with any questions we had and prompt to get back with us.
My husband and I (plus our pup) stayed for two nights and would definitely come back to this place. Loved the style and space, plus everything they included!
We are a family of 5 with a small dog. We found this house and it was perfect! The location was great as we were able to walk to Historic Main Street or in the opposite direction to Raising Caneâs. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. We wanted to visit the arch and city museum and each destination was about 30 minutes away. Super easy drive to the city. Rachel was super easy to reach and responded very quickly! We had a tv mishap and she responded within moments of texting her & the issue was resolved quickly! Also, I was impressed with the hot water! I love my hot showers in the morning and with 5 peopleâthere was still enough hot water to go around! The exposed brick walls and high ceilings just added to the charm of the house.
Travel for work and like quiet neighborhoods with outside space and long hot bath before bedtime. This place had all of above plus antique house was awesome and beautifully furnished with comfy bed.A great stay!
A lovely stay in St. Charles. Our grown children joined us for a little family time. This house was perfect and we had everything we needed. The property was so clean and cozy. We will stay here again on our next visit to this area.
Our family stayed here for a short visit with our st. Louis relatives. Rachel is amazing! My mother resides in the nursing home facility next door. I want sure if the door would be wide enough for her wheelchair to fit. Rachel went out of her way to measure the door opening. It was perfect!
