Clean hotel easy check in but holy crap fivty five dollars for parking is highway robbery plus breakfast was so so. Decent hotel close to entertainment.
I canceled the booking I made at Tru by Hilton on January 21, after making the reservation on January 21. Same day. Confirmed by Hotels.com, "itinerary canceled" is what the email I still have reads. I booked a different hotel that better met my family's needs that same day, and the issue was forgotten. Forward to June 13, I receive an email from Hotels.com, confirming two different hotels for the same night. This one, which was canceled, and the one I booked and intended to use. I spoke with an agent at Hotels.com who contacted the hotel- hotel management agreed to "cancel my booking," (not necessary, as I had done that months before) but refused to refund my money. Will never work through Hotels.com again, and if Tru by Hilton comes up in my results, I'll look elsewhere due to their response to my situation.
They over charged me even though the email receipt has the hotels.com price my bank account says different. Didnât have an ice bucket in the room asked the front desk and they kept saying they are working on it and NEVER RECEIVED IT. The parking is horrendous got yelled at by the security on parking our car just to get checked in, only had one person checking people in and waiting for 30 minutes. Bathroom ceiling had what looked like poop on it along with coming down the wall.
I had one major issue, I checked into my room and shortly afterwards a male housekeeper came into my room without knocking to see if the room was occupied⊠I WAS HALF NAKED AT THE TIME!!! when I called the front desk to report this, it was explained he had the list from the morningâŠ.there should be some compensation for my inconvenience and embarrassment
It was terrible, I traveled 2 hour to arrive @ hotel at 4:00PM and rooms wasnât ready and I had to pay a deposit. Unfortunately, I had tickets to rodeo @ 7:30pm. I sat in lobby waiting to get room that was reserved weeks in advance. I left going to rodeo @ 6:30 PM and I still hasnât received my room. Got back from rodeo at 10:30PM and finally got rooms I reserved in advance. Knowing that it was holiday (Juneteenth) management should be better preparedâŠ..
I liked the location for the price. I did not like that there werenât enough employees for checking in and valet. The poor employee was having to go back and forth and get everyoneâs vehicles and people were getting upset and it wasnât his fault he was the only one. The prices of the stuff in the little âstoreâ up front was ridiculous. $6 for a regular bottle of soda. Thatâs absurd. If you like soft beds this isnât the place for you because their beds are very firm.
Les points forts : Personnel et service et confort de la chambre
Nice Hotel in St. Louis Bad Neighborhood
This hotel is in a location with a lot of homeless vagrants and crime. The location is extremely noisy due to street racing in the neighborhood and gunfire all night long.
I recommend booking a property away from this area of town and getting an Uber. The hotel is decent but you can tell the area makes it sketchy. 55 dollar valet so you don't get broken into is not ok.
Room was nice, bed comfortable and it was very clean. After dark the neighborhood around this property is beyond sketchy. Homeless everywhere, trash left around and the people that come to the area to cruise at high speeds, bass blasting and fill it up weed smoke are not enjoyable.
