The beach was being worked on and we were not informed. The balcony was closed and we were not told that. We had planned on spending lots of time on the balcony looking for dolphins and listening to the ocean and we could not do that :(
Overall, the property met our needs. We appreciated being right on the beach. The knob for the shower broke, but we were able to communicate with the property department/owner quickly and it was fixed within 24 hours. Would have been nice to use the balcony but there was maintenance being done throughout our stay.
The place was super nice, clean, and stocked with kitchen utilities, beach toys, extra linens etc. looks just like the pictures. We absolutely loved it!!
Loved staying here the condo was nice sized, the balcony had stunning views and the beach was great. Only complaint is that elevators were out because of hurricanes so had to lug our luggage up a lot of stairs. A small price to pay for an otherwise perfect week!
The condo was clean and had everything as advertised. The view was wonderful and enjoyed Indian Rock Shores location. However the pthermostat was set at 73 degrees, but the temperature stayed at 76 until our last night and it was 80 degrees. There were fans that helped. Elevator was not working. Maintenance guy was working on it our last day.
Iâll start out by saying that if walking up 4 flights of stairs is difficult for you, choose a different property. Elevator is still out of service from the hurricanes. It if youâre ok with that, the property is clean and has lovely views.Beach access
Stay was quiet and comfortable. Would recommend this facility. Liked the remote check in due to our flight came in at 1am. Pool was up and running and we had beach access. I can tell alot of work went into getting the place back after the hurricanes. Only problem was due to the wood was rotting around the door lock we could not lock it. I was able to contact the the property manager easily and the problem was solved. Beautiful room! Elevator still not working.
I never saw the condo because the elevator is broken and my sister is in a wheelchair. I also had knee surgery prior to booking. So I inquired about elevator access prior to booking and was told yes, the elevator works. I read a review a month before arrival that said otherwise. Not only did they not tell me about it, they lied and said it would be fixed prior to my arrival. I finally got a refund. But not until after my vacation was ruined and we were home. Vacasa and VRBO lost this customer for good.
We went during spring break. Location is fantastic, beach was not over crowded. Condo was clean, bed was comfortable. Kitchen had the supplies we needed.
My 3 star review is mostly due to the management company.
Title is misleading. There is no W/D in the unit. There is a coin operated laundry room on 1st floor. 1.50/1.75 to wash and dry a load.
The listing is for a "sleeps 4" location. One bed and pull out sofa. However, the condo only had 3 bath towels (and 3 beach towels). When I asked for a 4th towel since there were four of us, this was the response I got:
"I did a check for you and I see where you may need to take additional towels depending on the size of your party as towels are not replenishable during your stay".
Seriously...a room for 4 but you don't even provide 4 towels? For several hundred dollars a night, that is just plain silly.
And 1 dish towel.
Also, we were told we had to wash and dry the beach towels before we left...and then had to pay to wash them in the coin operated laundry. Again, for $500 a night?
The elevator was still not working when we were there, although when I had checked before we left with Vacasa, they said it had been fixed. It's been broken since at least early February.
I would recommend looking for another condo in the area NOT run by Vacasa rentals if you are going with more than 2 people.
This condo was so BEAUTIFUL! We loved the area, not crowded or heavy traffic like Clearwater. It was very clean, you could smell the clean as soon as you walked in the door - it was spotless!! The view from the balcony was so pretty. Getting to the beach was easy and loved that we could rent chairs/umbrellas right in front of the building! The bed and furniture were very comfortable and had nice linens! I can't say anything bad about this condo! Check-in was easy and when I had a couple of questions we got in touch with someone very quickly.
We've always gone to Myrtle Beach but no more! We fell in love with this place. We will be back - maybe in just a couple of months!
The place was very clean. The cleaning lady by the lobby/pool area kept the place so clean each morning. Very easy to check in. Itâs a smaller condo but it worked fine for our family. Bed was comfortable. Watching the sunset from our balcony never got old. Would definitely stay here again.
The condo was perfect for our trip. My wife and son (6 years old) had a great time! Although it is only a one bedroom condo, the added space for a very open living room is worth it. The open living room and kitchen make this condo very welcoming and comfortable. And the view is absolutely perfect!
The condo with balcony overlooking the gulf was well decorated and view from the 4th floor was beautiful, just as you see in the ad pictures. It was also clean and spacious. The bed was excellent and furniture was comfortable.
The only reason we did not rate this a 5 was due to miscommunication on confirmation and check-in instructions form Vacasa, the management company. Our entry code was incorrect. The lobby which was listed with an entry code was discover later in the week to be nonexistent. Not a great start for our 55th anniversary get-away but nothing major.
The bigger issue was discovering after we were checked in that the management company/owners only provide one bath cloth per person for the entire stay. No place on the ad, confirmation instructions or check-in info did it communicate this important piece of information. When we inquired with the management company about getting additional cloths we were told that was all they provided and we would have to wash them downstairs in the cash laundry. Unacceptable to expect someone to wash bath cloths each day for the entire stay in order to have proper hygiene. We just went out and bought an adequate supply. We heard a couple of days later from Vacasa we could borrow some from the owner's storage bin under the bed. That bin was labeled "Do Not Open". We didn't feel that was acceptable to borrow those either. Had we known of this policy we would have simply brought adequate cloths. Lesson learned is to ask about linen policy before ever booking any future reservations.
It appears Vacasa, management company, has a large number of properties and their confirmation and check-in information is generic or misstated about some other unit. Examples are no lobby even though their information went so far as to state there was one and to give the entry code and further for them not stating their linen policy in the detail info for ad. Their representative told us on the first call we made the info stated that "no extra supplies were provide" and then referenced blankets instead of bath cloths. That statement about supplies was not in any information provided. We were not sure if this policy of one cloth per person for the stay was an owner or management decision. But it is not a good one for, if known in advance, it will impact revenue. This is the first accommodation we have had this issue with inadequate number of bath cloths. It will be the last! It is a shame since condo is excellent!!
Overall, a very nice property in a good location. It was nice to sit on the balcony and watch the water. Although we did not cook a lot of meals in the condo, it appeared that all of the necessary equipment was available. There were two kitchen towels, but no sponge or dishcloth for hand washing dishes. There was plenty of dish liquid and dishwasher pods available.
Our biggest surprise was the lack of a roll of toilet paper. I suppose this was due to having a bidet on the toilet. I would have preferred to have been pre-warned.
There were no written instructions anywhere, that we could find, explaining how to use the TV and under-counter lighting. Not everyone has a Roku TV!
When we tried to check-in at 4 p.m., the initial door code did not work. We called Vacassa and were given a new code over the phone, which worked perfectly. That was our only contact with the property management company before or during our stay.
