Positives
âą Itâs a charming 1900âs house
âą Bathrooms were very nicely updated as was the kitchen. Flooring was very well done, including on the decks.
âą The backyard was spacious, gorgeous, and very well fenced.
âą Parkin on the back/side accommodated four cars.
âą The mudroom was fantastic and the three bikes supplied looked to be in great shape.
âą Bed linens and towels were ample, fresh, and first-rate.
âą We had no problem with street noise. The location could not have been more centrally located.
Negatives
âą Lower A/C unit didnât work on move-in, meaning we had to move family reunion activities to my cousinâs house for three days, and two other cousins were pretty miserable for the first few nights sleeping downstairs.
âą The management company never responded to a text regarding A/C, and VRBO was down the next day. Once we connected with the owners, however, they had a maintenance company on the site very quickly. I think the owneâs are looking for a new management company.
âą No icemaker in the Frig.
âą For as nice as the kitchen was, the cooking utensils left a bit to be desired (serving dishes were fine).
âą The âhouse bookâ was a bit skimpy. Iâd have loved to see more of a write-up about the houseâs history and maybe a few guides for emergencyâs (water cut-off, fuse-panel, etc.)
In general, Iâd give this house a 5/5. My negatives are nits compared to how awesome the house is, and I have confidence in the owners to take my comments at face value.
