very misleading listing stay elsewhere

Vacasa had this listing posted on VRBO as a 3 floor condo with an elevator and gated pool. What we got was an elevator that hasnt been operational for a whole year, 6 flights of stairs and come to find out we are not the first ones this has happened to on this property. Vacasa the property mgr was notified. Their first response was "we dont have to disclose a broken elevator."This place is also adjacent to a public beach parking lot so your kids get to see plenty of drug use in the parked cars all day from your pool. Your driveway is also the turnaround for everyone in Indian Rocks looking for a parking spot. watch for cars The pool was not secured for residents. Locals were using the pool and drinking until almost 11pm our first night there because they know the gate doesnt lock and there are no cameras on site.. There were bugs found inside the unit, weak and unusable wifi, trash everywhere outside and the garbage cans smelled like they had been sitting full for at least a week All of these issues were politely discussed with Vacasa during our stay and as resolution we were offered a refund of my 250 pet deposit "for a pet that couldnt go because of the stairs" and another 250 for ruining my families vacation on a 3500 booking that half of us couldnt attend. We speak from experience when we say you can do a lot better than this place with less money..

Condo

The condo and pool were nice. However, the elevator was out of service during our entire stay. After looking at prior reviews on Vacasa after we arrived, it looks like the elevator has been out of service for weeks, but the property manager had not told us in advance. The condo is at the top of four steep flights of stairs. Our grandma and our dog both had difficulty getting up and down the stairs to the unit. If there is anyone in your party who may have difficulty with stairs, would recommend confirming with the property that the elevator is actually functioning before booking.

Great Place but Broken Elevator

This is a third floor unit with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. Spent a lot of time on the balcony, which was my favorite spot in the house. The unit is spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped with anything that you might need. Restaurants and shopping in short walking distance. Grounds could use a little upgrading but the unit itself was very clean and well-maintained. The biggest issue was the broken elevator. I called property manager when I arrived to report but despite their assertion that they were sending someone out to repair, it was still broken when we left. Having to climb and descend three flights of stairs after recent hip surgery was a challenge and when you add heavy bags and luggage to the mix, it was quite the struggle. Not what I expected after paying over $600 a night for our stay. If you need an elevator, I would think twice before renting. If stairs are not an issue for you, then it’s a great beachfront option.

Hidden gem

First I’d like to start by saying I’m a germaphobe and I always walk into rentals with my own everything and cleaning supplies. Well, this house didn’t need that. It was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything we could have needed. The view is spectacular and I love the short walk to the beach. The house has been recently remodeled I think so everything was gorgeous and in excellent condition. Perfect location! I only have two slight warnings- on vrbo this property is presented as a house not a condo. It doesn’t mention shared anything. We thought we rented a private home and were shocked to arrive and see others in our pool and I think they were shocked to see us too. It ended up being fine since they checked out the next day but the pool is small and only fit for 3 people not 3 units of people. I think they’ll change that description soon but just know it’s a 3 condo unit. Also the gorgeous master shower the step is sloping outward instead of inward which directs all water hitting the shower door into the floor. We put down 3 towels and it wasn’t enough. I hope they don’t end up with major water damage if someone doesn’t catch it like we did. that’s not the homeowners fault but something you need to watch for. Otherwise it’s wonderful and we had a fantastic time!!!

Almost Heaven!! Book it, you won't regret it!!

Top floor of only three units, so it's very quiet and secluded even if the other units are rented out. There is two spots for parking but don't lock the pool gate or your car will get banged up. The pool and spa are amazing and right on the beach. The bed linens and towels provided were high quality and plentiful for more visiting guests if needed. The washer and dryer are quite big, seem new and worked great. The master suite has a full seperate bidet, jacuzzi tub and tiled shower big enough for two. The balcony sliding doors are heavy duty and extremely difficult to open and close for the littles so that was helpful keeping them corralled inside and away from danger. The windows and glass doors are so thick even if there were a party going on down below at the pool at night, you'd never hear it. The elevator is extremely helpful but there is also steps leading to the private third floor landing to the rental. Lots of cookware and amnesties not even listed...this is a great place to stay. Not on a crowded party beach, this is a quieter neighborhood and area. Restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Fun Family Condo

We had a great time at On the Rocks. Besides the beautiful ocean view, and comfortable condo and balcony, it was walking distance to restaurants and shops. All 6 of us felt at home and had a great destination Christmas.

Another great stay

We've stayed at this unit several times and always enjoy it. Great location for restaurants and access to beach. The pool area is really nice but fairly small when the other units are full and there are several families using it at the same time.

Beautiful sunsets from balcony!

Beautiful condo. Our family had a great week. The pool area is amazing! Direct beach front it truly doesn’t get any better than this! There were a few setbacks: the cleanliness of the condo was just okay. Sand all over floors upon arrival, walls, doors, door knobs dirty, floors dirty(wiping up the sand with wet paper towels the paper towels were black.) Massive construction happening directly in front of condo starting at 7am and continuing throughout the day. This is a Pet friendly property which is amazing as we have a little dog but one of the other condos in the building had two big dogs that were out on the balcony the majority of the week and they continuously barked. There was no gas for the BBQ grill a guest from another unit replaced the gas tank. Even with the few setbacks overall our family had an amazing week! The beach/water amenities are great!

Five Star Location but some issues

The pluses: It was a Five Star location for sure!! Great beach area and everything you need so close by (even walk to great restaurants). Sunsets from the balcony were stunning! The Condo itself was fine,. It was clean and pretty much as advertised. Nice to have free parking too. Negative: Two things, first, there was no water pressure at times, not that it lessened…it stopped, shampoo in hair and all, multiple times. We discovered it wasn’t just in the top floor unit that we were in either. That isn’t okay when people need to clean up after being at the beach all day. Second, two days with a pool so dirty that it was unusable (during red tide which means you don’t want to be in the Gulf). As a note - the TeemingVR Management was easy to reach and helpful. The pool got cleaned but, the water issue hadn’t been figured out. Overall, great location and nice place if they figure out the water issue.
