If you are expecting a 5 star experience at this hotel you will be disappointed. The cleanliness of the property was inconsistent. After a day out and going in to our room and seeing that, some of the room was cleaned with other parts not even dusted was disappointing. We had a room upgrade after one night but our bags were not transferred properly in the process and we had to wait a long time to be able to change out of bathing suits and shower, in time for a proper dinner that night - this confusion was purely internal staffing communication problems. Tate’s grille and bar could use an upgrade. They also can use an adult pool - there is only one pool, overrun with children and the hot tub was broken. So we never even tried to use the pool - which was a loss. Some of the staff were on-point, some needed retraining and to step up their problem-solving skills. One desk staff member threw another staffer under the bus when we brought a problem to their attention. That’s a very bad look. Caretta restaurant was consistently good. The spa is in serious need of an upgrade, the steam room and jacuzzi were kind of a joke, as was the women’s changing area. They messed up our last massage - scheduled before our flight home so we had to leave without having one - VERY disappointing and the situation was not handled properly or rectified at all. The automatic piano that constantly plays in the lobby is a very dated detail that became very annoying after a few days.
