Property is nestled in the woods with a lovely sitting area on the back deck. We could hear peleated woodpeckers and barred owls calling back and forth to each other. Very peaceful. You definitely need 4WD to get to the cabin. The kitchen was well equipped but the dishwasher was broken. We liked the proximity to the national park.
The house was a nice home away from home. We took the suggestion and brought four wheel drive which was very necessary. The beds were super comfy and the house was a perfect size for a family of four. It was also very clean. The kids loved that each room has a tv with Roku. The pictures of the house were exactly as shown. The pictures do show the river flowing on property grounds, however there was no immediate access from the property. This is a question I should have asked prior to staying. We did find access at the fork of the road up where the kids dipped in their toes. I would definitely suggest the house, especially if you are looking for a place to explore Shenandoah National Park! Abby was very quick to answer any questions that arose.
