The hotel itself is older. That is fine but the condition is very poor. There is a TON of water damage on the walls and floors. The smell is VERY STRONG of mold and mildew. We saw several boxes of deodorizer sitting around to try to mask the smell which made it worse. The morning front desk clerk was amazing. The morning kitchen lady was very kind. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was great. But the above problems with the smell almost made me sick

Everyone at the Russell Inn is so friendly and helpful! The rooms are clean. Breakfast is amazing. The area is quiet and close to MSU, places to eat and shop. Russell Inn is the ONLY place we stay when we visit our daughter in Starkville!!
