My colleagues and I attended an annual conference at Penn State this week, and renting this home was a fantastic choice. It offered a warm, welcoming environment that felt like a home away from homeâand it helped us save significantly compared to staying at the conference hotel. With only five of us, everyone had their own private sleeping space, which would have been cost-prohibitive at a hotel. The home has four bathrooms, so there was never a waitâan underrated luxury when traveling with a group! The house was immaculate, well-equipped, and thoughtfully maintained. Amy and John were exceptionally responsive and helpful whenever we had questions or needed assistance.Sleeping arrangements worked out well: the colleague who stayed in the âman caveâ found the sofabed surprisingly comfortable. Of the four others, two of us thought the mattresses were too firm, while the other two found theirs quite softâproof that comfort is subjective. That said, we all appreciated the variety of firm and soft pillows provided in each room, as well as the extra blankets for those who tend to run cold. If we return (and I hope we do), Iâll plan to bring a soft mattress topper for an ideal nightâs sleep. All in all, this rental was a terrific alternative to the usual hotel optionsâcomfortable, spacious, and a great value.
