Terrible hotel room

The room was described as upgraded and it most certainly WAS NOT. Not only that things were broken and we never had hot water. The faucet handle in the sink and shower were loose about to come off, the slip bar in the shower was loose, the closet door was broken and could have fallen off, the lamps were not plugged in, the furniture was dusty and the sheets felt like razor blades they were so rough. The only positive was the view and the comfort of the mattress.

We wanted to check in an hr early, the hotel wanted $25 for 45 min early .. what??¿ never happened to us before. Room carpet had hai on it from previous guest. Bathroom is tiny, shower ceiling veryvm low. Night stand had only usb on one side of bed. Bed was comfortable. Had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Terrible, and cold.. We will have to reconsider whether or not we want to return to this hotel.

Sheets were dirty when we arrived. Asked for new sheets and explain to them all the hair we found (operator was nice), but when house keeper came to deliver, she seemed annoyed with a slight attitude. I took photos of the pubic hair and long strand of hair under the comforter. Will not stay here again.

We were told when we booked that the pool was available and rooms had been updated and remodeled. We were traveling for a group birthday. We arrived and the guys at the front desk were great. Super nice and accommodating. The guy who is supposed to help you with luggage was a complete jerk. No facial expression and was flat out rude. He was an asian man. Upon check in we were told the pool is not available. We asked why and they stated its the off season. What? There is a ton of construction going on all over the grounds and on the Heavenly tower which is where they put us. Our rooms were on the 15th floor and the rooms were horribly outdated and simply gross. The beds are super comfy Ill give them that. The noise all day and literally until 12am all 4 nights from construction was terrible. Once you turned off the TV it was super bad. Couldnt get to bed till after midnight all 4 nights. Front desk couldn't have cared any less the girl I spoke too was like " what am I supposed to do about it? We have construction going on as you can see". Simply rude again. We got coffee at the coffee shop all 4 days and watched whoever the manager of the starbucks treat the young asian girl horribly too. We attempted to use the pool on Friday because it opened up and couldnt even enjoy it because of all the construction and noise. Overall this is the second time I've stayed here. Once about 5 years ago when it was Hardrock too. Won't stay again.

I thought it might be nice to drive to Tahoe and stay the night at the Golden Nugget Casino to have a Seafood pan roast at the Oyster bar. I love seafood, and there's not many oyster bars around. When I checked in I noticed posters on the wall of the casino showing how great the oyster bar is. I checked in went to my room for a couple hours then came down to the casino and looked for the Oyster bar, I couldn't find it, when I asked about it they said it was closed 2 days ago permanently. My trip was based on a having a pan roast at the Golden Nugget, on the website it said it has a oyster bar, there advertising an oyster bar on the posters with arrows pointing the way in the Casino. I ended up driving to get a burger. I was so disappointed I went back to the hotel and checked out at 10 pm I didn't stay, I drove back home. I think I should get a full refund for the room, Hotels.com sold me a room in a hotel with an oyster bar. I didn't get that. I think that maybe there's a lack of communication between the website and the hotel to keep the amenities up to date, or it's not a concern. I would like to know if you recommend calling the hotel before I book the room to check the amenities to see they do actually offer them?

Tub drain clogged with hair. Wouldn’t drain. Hot water ran out after 1 shower. Toilet seat wasn’t wiped down. Dirty linens. Sea food was dog poop. Run away from here fast. They’ll also scam you out of money in a heart beat with your booking despite making so much. I will never return.
