We loved how cute and cozy it was. It has a full kitchen. The layout was awesome for this size loft. It was great for our trip to Statesboro for SOARs week. My daughter wants to stay there for move in week too. Thank you so much. We loved it.
Great place!!! Only a couple things would have made it better and would make us book again as we are in town monthly for business.
Need bar stools at bar as there is no place to sit down and eat and a better bed, stayed two nights and slept horribly due to old bed with just a foam topper in it.
I gave a excellent rating because it was clean, cute and a great location!!!
Please let me know if you get barstools and a new mattress we will book monthly.
This is a nice open studio on the second floor of a cool downtown renovated building. The space is lovely and was very clean. The exposed brick and historic feel of the property was awesome. The bed was comfy. The countertops and fixtures were new and you could tell the place was fairly recently renovated. I had really high hopes that this would be a 5 star stay. But no..... The furnishings, unfortunately, were not as welcoming. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable and very worn down - you could feel the springs through the cushions and the toss pillow was coming apart at the seams. The leather ottomas was peeling badly. The box spring of the bed was visibly in poor shape and although clean, the set of sheets on the bed looked and felt worn thin and had small holes in various places. The kitchen was spacious and clean.
Unfortunately the coffee maker did not work - would heat and steam and hiss but would not pull water - had to do manual pour over coffee which was not good. The listing says the place would sleep 3 so that is the number of glassware items you have. 3 glasses. 3 coffee mugs. You get the picture. No wine glasses although corkscrew was present. Don't plan on having guests over for a drink I guess. The outdoor balcony is not furnished or usable. The wooden flooring on the decking is deteriorated to the point that it gives when stepped on. Once the outside door was opened to go out on the balcony it took forever to figure out how to get door to re-latch and stay shut. The bolt on the door and bolt hole on the door frame do not match up quite right. I kind of felt this was a safety issue. Also, there is an elevator but the last inspection date posted expired in 2020. Dont know if that was accurate but I chose to take the stairs. And there are a lot of them.
Last but not least let me mention the parking issue. Parking is pretty easy during the day, but this studio is above a super popular restaurant that is open for dinner only. Parking felt like an outlet mall at Christmas both Friday and Saturday evenings. If you get a space early in the day hope that you don't have to go back out or you may have to park way down the block. There is no assigned parking for this studio which would be especially bad for anyone with mobility issues.
Overall the space is good at the right price for one or two people who are not planning on having visitors and are ok with mobility.
Great stay. Property is close to several excellent restaurants and approximately 1 mile from Georgia Southernâs campus for those who are visiting the college. The property was clean and well kept and the owners were super helpful with the reservations and check in process, etc.
I'll definitely come and stay again when I'm in the area. The place was very nice and the owner was very prompt when I had a light-bulb which needed replacing.
Upon checking in the door to the balcony was open and I was unable to get it to stay closed and door locked. For this reason I did not feel safe staying there and I informed the host of this situation. I was informed by the host that she could not refund my money even though I did not stay there. For this reason I have to give the rating as a one.
