No management means problems fester

Front desk closed early, opened late. That means no management at all at night. Bums and vagrants all over asking us to let them in because they “misplaced” their lobby door key. Lots of illegal activity happening on first floor at night.

The desk clerk Alex was fabulous - the rooms were not - ROACHES!!!! and dirty - I have pictures - kitchen area gross - floors were awful - beds seemed to be fresh the only saving grace

It was roaches in my room. I left food on the counter until I attended a tournament and when I returned the roaches was on my food.

This place looks newly remodeled. It was failrly clean. There was no ice maker or vending machines. Coffee machines were on order. They told me it would be hit or miss. There was one in our room. And in the trash area, they had a large Rubbermaid garbage can. There is a gas station convenience store across the street so getting drinks and snacks was just a short walk. Staff was really nice.

Will not stay again

There were no other hotel options for this night. All other options were full. It was a busy weekend in Statesboro with many different events going on.I will not choose to stay at this hotel again when visiting. This hotel was more like a rented apartment. The hallway smelled of trash/dirty diapers mixed with the aroma of weed when we arrived.The floors were disgusting. Stains on bedding and towels. No breakfast or coffee.

Property was clean and felt safe! Great value for the price. Only downside is the housekeeping staff was REALLY loud every morning so sleeping in isn’t an option.

Staff was excellent, but they could not overcome the noise from the room above, said they were “long term guests”. They moved me to another room that reeked of pesticides. I spent the entire night with burning eyes and inhaling these poisonous chemicals. I am a senior citizen and my health has been severely endangered.

We got back to the room and the smell of marijuana was through out the floor we were on and even in our room. We had to put towel under the door to keep smell out. It’s suppose to be non smoking much less marijuana. The room was ok besides the towel having a hair that wasn’t out on it. Pillows were hard and not comfortable so didn’t sleep very well.

Long night.

I the check-in went smooth. She was very nice. The room looked good but when I went to charge my phone roaches crawled across the kitchen counter. I went into the bathroom. The sink was dirty. I wiped it with paper. The towels were old, tattered and a dull off gray color. I went to the bed and the bedside table had black smut all over the silver lamp. Not sure what that was. The bed was clean and comfortable. As soon as I lay down the noise began. I could hear the conversations in both rooms. The TV’s were running loudly and the conversations were heard over the loud TV’s. Those went on until around 1:00 AM. At around 3:00 it got bad. A little scary. Major argument broke out. Really loud. Loud music came on as if they were trying to cover the argument. No one should have to live with that. Scary! I got maybe three hours of sleep! Not what you expect from any hotel. Wish I had pictures and recordings. I was afraid to open my door.
