Lovely studio apartment. Had all the necessary utensils in the kitchen and I liked that the kitchen was a separate room so you could close the door. Appreciated the addition of a fan, hot water bottle, teas and coffees etc. All the little things were thought of. Room was decorated lovely, enjoyed the colour schemes and Shakespeare nods very much. Nice water pressure in the shower. Lane way opened up to spacious private parking which was very useful and this was well communicated before hand. Very prompt and helpful replies from Kate ( I was a little concerned before arriving that there was no one on-site but need not have been concerned as everything went very smoothly and stress-free). Great place to stay, location is excellent to walk to town. Would highly recommend and happily stay again if I were in the area.
Kitchen and bathroom have very limited space for working in. There was no toaster in the kitchen until one arrived on the last day of our visit.
the room has no drawers or wardrobes only open rails and some shelving for clothing so looks constantly untidy and makes access difficult.
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was a plus, with a microwave, small fridge, teapot, sink, dishes and silverware, enabling us to fix our own breakfast. The dressing table with a mirror and light made putting my makeup on much easier!
Great stay. Good communication with check-in instructions prior to arrival. Hotel was convenient for the railway station and town centre and all attractions were only a short walk away. Room was spotless and comfortable. We were grateful for the fan and fridge as it was quite warm
The rooms are nicely decorated and Kate the host is very sweet. But the rooms are airless and hot, we got a couple of fans that did help- we stayed in the attic room so really needed them. Double glazed windows would help with the noise from the fairly busy little road the property is on. And we did not have the king sized bed as advertised but a queen instead. There is a lovely old park across the road that some rooms face and itâs pretty. You can also walk everywhere and thatâs nice.
The property is in an excellent position within easy walking distance of the town centre. Excellent communication with owner. Lovely comfortable bed, plenty of tea, coffee etc. We hope to return
A fabulous stay in a well-appointed (and beautifully-decorated) room! The location was excellent, a short walk from all the historic sights, and I very much appreciated the ample wardrobe storage and the kitchenette. Check-in was straightforward and communication beforehand was thorough. The one thing I'd note is that the room was located on a road that saw some traffic in the mornings, so bear that in mind if you're an usually late and/or light sleeper. On the whole, though, a great experience, definitely the highlight of my trip when it came to lodging!
The kitchen equipment was a bit basic with no coffee maker, or jug. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom sparkling clean. Very centrally situated and convenient for the theatre and town centre. Would consider using again.
Studio 1 has enough space for three people and you get all the necessary information you need before arriving at the house (Keys, how to get there, etc). It was very easy to get there from the train station and you can easily reach every Shakespeare-related sight by foot . The beds and the sleeping sofa are very comfortable as well. However, the heater in the bathroom seems to be dependent on outside temperature because sometimes it is not turned on. Also, if multiple people want to go to different places, you might have to plan ahead because there is only one key. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and heartily recommend it.
Good for walking into the town, lot's of things to do, not far from the river and canal. The room was adequate but a bit tired looking, some shelves or drawer space would be handy, the hairdryer nozzle does not stay attached to the hairdryer, the shower was brilliant! Overall we had a lovely holiday. There was a very noisy lady in room 1 on Saturday night who thought banging on doors and being very loud at 1.30 am was okay but I spoke to her and she quietened down so we could all get some sleep.
