The cabin was very comfortable and within 10-20 feet from cascading waterfalls and creek. The sound of the water can be heard throughout the inside creating a very soothing atmosphere. Property manager âJoniâ was great to work with and was very positive. Abundant wildlife in the area so you can sit on the covered porch and listen to the water and watch for the wildlife as they ease through the woods. This was our second time we stayed here and we will definitely be back.
Perfect place to get away deep in the forest beside a gorgeous creek. Clean, cozy, warm, and comfortable. Opened the window and slept like a baby to the water running over the rocks. Can't wait to come back!
The online description didn't do this property justice! The cabin is set lower in the mountain and the creek next to it is beautiful with small waterfalls. The cabin was warm and cozy, especially with the woodburning stove lit.
This cabin was magical! Very clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The creek is beautiful and lots of fun to play in- especially for our dog. We enjoyed cycling the mountain gaps and hiking nearby. 10/10 recommend!
We loved Suches Creekside cabin. It was tucked away down in a hollow with the babbling creek wrapping the majority of the property. We really enjoyed listening to the creek both inside and outside the property. We were blessed to have cool enough weather to sleep with the windows open and allow the melody of the creek to sing us to sleep. My mother and I as well as my 2 pups camped for 6 days at Desoto Falls Recreation Area, so the warm showers, plumbing, comfy beds and a roof over our heads were welcomed especially after the storm blew in for the last few days of the trip. We mostly hiked at the beginning of the trip and enjoyed our days at the cabin exploring Dahlonega. The fires at night were awesome and we were able to forage enough fallen wood to not have to purchase more which was an added bonus. We absolutely loved this place. The only negative we found was that there was no where to hang anything in any bedrooms. Weâd recommend just some over the door hangers for a quick and easy fix, primarily in the main floor bedroom since there is no chair or dresser to utilize. Not a big deal for us, but wouldâve been handy.
The pups and I really enjoyed playing in the creek and going to see the waterfalls. We did run across bear tracks and scat along the creek, but never saw any. It made this Mississippi girl a little nervous! đ Thank you for sharing this beautiful place! We will likely return again!
Our stay was amazing! The cabin was perfect size for a family of 4. The trails and waterfalls were a major hit, even for our electronic addicted kiddos!
We did get a bit lost on the way in, definitely bring an âold fashionedâ map as gps and phones were not reliable. You do have to plan your outings, as it is a bit far to stores. However if you are looking to disconnect and be with nature this is the place for you! Nothing better than the sounds of a stream while having a glass of wine in the hot tub. Highly recommend!
What a dream this stay was for our family. We brought boots and the kids played nonstop in the creek, explored, sâmores at night - exactly what we were looking for!
If you plan to cook most of your basics are there unless youâre picky about the condition of your pots or knives. Definitely get groceries on your way in! Once youâre back on main road excellent access to many trails, AT access and Vogel State park, all within 30 minutes of beautiful twisty curvy roads - loved it!
Very nice and if you are looking for a place to just breath and take in nature this cabin is perfect for you. And as an added bonus and a short hike out the back door you will find a breathtaking waterfall. We stayed 4 night's and only left once as we wanted to check out the swinging bridge which was awesome. This area has some great hiking trails.
We enjoyed our stay at creekside, the outdoors was absolutely beautiful, very relaxing listing to the bubbling creek, while sitting on the porch or around the fire pit. Cabin was clean and comfortable.
Overall, the cabin was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The location is pretty breath taking, I would imagine during the spring/summer the creak makes for an awesome sight. Definitely a nice getaway!
Great cabin in the woods. Well kept. The creek beside the cabin is unbelievable. So peaceful. The road in can be an adventure to navigate which just made the reward of the cabin even better! Great place to get away from it all.
The cabin is in a beautiful secluded mountain forest valley by a creek. It is spacious inside and clean and well equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. We stayed for the whole week for Thanksgiving and made a turkey dinner there just fine. The only negative was the upstairs shower. On the first night there it flooded the downstairs bedroom. My husbandâs suitcase and the bed we slept on got soaked. We stopped using the shower for the rest of the week.I Iet
the owner know. I got an email back asking if we needed help with laundry? It was an inconvenience for sure. I emailed the rental company a video of the flood pouring into the bedroom. They never responded back in any way.
able to cook a full turkey dinner there.
We had a wonderful time in this secluded cabin. It was beautiful, surrounded by a creek on the front and right side. It was clean and very suitable for family! We hope to come back to this cabin so we can sleep with our windows open again and listen to the creek flowing outside. We did see bear droppings outside near the back door, but never saw a bear. Next time we want to bring more people and stay longer!
After 2 years of no travel, four-ever friends were able to reunite! The cabin is so tastefully done; so clean and happy!! Nearby recreation and the sound of that streamâŠwell we couldnt have found anywhere better. Thank you!
We had a great time here. The drive way is long and you are secluded. Our golden doodle loved being able to get outside in the mountains! We had campfires every night and grilled out. The house had plenty of room upstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed.
I canât say enough good things about this property! The cabin itself was immaculate and well-appointed with everything we needed for our weekend stay. We stopped on the way in for groceries and had most meals in the cabin. It was so fun to be able to wade and play in the creek and walk/hike in the mountain right from the cabin. It was close (10-15 minutes) to hiking trails and a small general store and restaurant. The check-in process was super easy, and Joni had a notebook FULL of helpful guidelines and things to do. There were games and even a deck of cards with a handy notebook full of directions for all kinds of card games:) The thing we were probably most grateful for was that it is pet-friendly! If I was forced to pick a downside, it would only be the ride in. It wasnât a problem at all, but the first time driving through the creek was a little unnerving. After that, it was just part of the adventure. Overall, one of the best weekend getaways we have had!
