Clean and convenient for Devil's Lake

Clean and comfortable hotel located very close to Devil's Lake state park and other hiking as well as Baraboo. Hotel elevator, hallways, and staircase looked a little outdated but were clean. Room itself looked liked it had been updated. Front desk staff were very kind.

Overall good stay. Affordable clean hotel. Friendly staff at check in. Easy access to room. I like the online check in and check out. Breakfast was slammed lots of people, but holiday weekend and to be expected so i have no issue with that. Perhaps on those busier days having two wafflemakers going would be helpful. Everyone loves a good hotel waffle in the continental breakfast. Only other issue was the rollaway mattress option. It's nice that they have this as an option but the mattress was quite old and springy. Needs to be upgraded. This is a minor issue as many hotels don't offer this option at all. Overall I would recommend this hotel as a budget-friendly and clean option near Wisconsin dells.

I like the pool and hot tub. I didn't like the evening front desk staff he did seen to care about what my concerns was. They never refilled the First floor Ice machine. I didn't have I phone cord in the room I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk. I would never return

My husband and I visited the property for our first anniversary as we wanted to hike Devil’s Lake State Park. Upon arrival, we right away noticed a big urine stain right on top of the blanket. Not even on the sheets, right on top of the blanket itself. After looking closer, we also noticed what seemed to be a skid mark. Totally gross. The bed was made nicely so this means the cleaning crew cleaned the room and put a blanket on the bed WITH A URINE STAIN. We contacted the front desk (phone didn’t work!) so we went downstairs and the guy at the reception came up to the room to bring a new blanket because he couldn’t give me a new room. We weren’t too happy but hotels in the area are few and we didn’t want to ruin the weekend. We were promised a complimentary room cleaning for the next day which never came. We were told that we needed to contact the GM of the hotel to discus the urine on the blanket. He never responded so we were given the number for the hotel owner. After contacting him, he said he would reimburse half our stay. The owner said we’d get a refund but here we are almost a month later and it was never refunded. We have contacted him again and have been ignored. Customer care say they can’t do anything and we need to work with the owner. It was the WORST hotel we have EVER stayed at.
