The view and grounds are very pretty, but amenities are pretty scarce. Drinking water is not even available and I would have loved some conditioner with the shampoo. We couldn't work the temperature regulator so the room was chilly. It was okay for one night but I would not have been inclined to stay longer. We were ready to leave at close to 11am the next day but housekeeping came in without even knocking.

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Hill House. Our room was clean and quiet and had a beautiful view of the mountains. We would definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Check in and check out was very easy. Great location

Beautiful property with a tranquil surrounding, the room has a view of the White mountains and the trees in the huge yard are in peak fall color. A good place for romantic escape. The down side is that the room does not have a table/desk, it has only one small chair for double occupancy. Room is clean with nice bedding.

Favorite location, disappointed experience.

I absolutely LOVE staying at Sunset Hill House any time im in the area. The only thing this time is i booked the premium sunrise, while the view was great, the room left some to be desired. I always look forward to the oversized tubs and being currently 8mo pregnant i was looking forward to the jet massage. However when i turned the jets on, the tub was immediately filled with grime and dirty flakes which looked like clumped dead skin. I ended up opting for a shower. The bed as well was more uncomfortable for my partner and myself as the mattress topper pad would not stay on straight and kept sliping and sliding causing bunching, which made it difficult for myself to get out of bed at times. I dont think ive ever had a complain about this location but i was definitely slightly disappointed this time around and hope house keeping can address the dirty jets and give them more attention.

Historic building is missing the convenience of an elevator. The location is very pleasing. Not nice that with a nearly empty hotel, they sent us (senior citizens) up three flights of stairs with our luggage to the farthest room possible. No assistance offered.

Stayed in small house adjacent to main inn. Comfortable bed, spacious room with 2 comfy chairs, plus a private balcony. Suitcases had to go on floor, no bench or rack. No available water except faucet. Common fridge at entrance. Shower was small old tub with plastic surround hung on circular shower rod. Curved tub made standing a bit shaky but tub had no slip on bottom. Restaurant was closed so had to go to Franconia or Littleton for dinner. Breakfast was small pastries and coffee only. Our conclusion was inn had great potential, but missed the mark. Amenities needed to be upgraded from 2nd class to 1st, and details matter.
