The cleaner was still there when we arrived. He was dripping with sweat, explaining how he didn't have his helper and didn't finish the laundry (the bathroom rugs were in the washer and he did not wash the bunk bed sheets). We told him we would finish up and sent him on his way.In fairness to him, it was over 90 and there is no air conditioner, but the interaction with him and the general dinginess of the place prompted us to spend the first couple hours of our vacation recleaning the whole house, including the food crumbs under the kitchen table and the hair in the bathtub drain.The blanket provided for the dog was not clean so we threw it in the washer. Though the information packet indicated that laundry detergent would be provided, there was none, which made us wonder what the cleaner used to do the laundry, prompting us to go to the store to get detergent and spend our time rewashing sheets and towels.That was day 1 of our vacation!.The yard is treacherous. If you donât twist your ankle on the walkway from the driveway to the front door, there are deep, ankle-crushing holes in the backyard.The front windows do not open and the screen on the front storm door is torn out so no chance of a cross breeze.We had an issue with the CO2 detector and contacted Valerie who responded saying "I don't manage the property itself, just the bookings, for the property owner", so nobody manages the property, and it shows.Place was not worth what we paid. Owner should be ashamed.
