There are excellent beaches on the nearby Kegnäs peninsula. Lie down in the dunes and listen to the soothing waves. Despite its small size, there are well-known mills and history to experience on Als, e.g. at Augustenborg Castle, its park and castle church. There is also a castle to visit in Sonderborg, which houses a museum about local history. You can find out more about this at the Dybböl Banke History Center.
