Very disappointing stay. I specifically booked a garden apartment in Bondi, but only a few days before check-in I was advised I was being moved to a different unit. The replacement looked more like a converted storage area beneath another apartment and was nothing like the property I had booked. The furniture, bedding and towels were old and stained, the bathroom bin and toilet brush were heavily rusted, there was no hand soap or bath mat, only three towels for our family of four, and the shower flooded the bathroom floor. Several lamps didn't work, a wall was unfinished, and the advertised coffee machine and pods amounted to an old jar of stale instant coffee. Netflix and Wi-Fi were advertised but no login details or instructions were provided. The worst issue was a wall-mounted unit in the bedroom that switched on every 30 seconds with a loud hum and bright red light, making it very difficult to sleep. There was only a tiny window. I chose this property because it advertised on-site parking included, but there was no on-site parking, only limited 2-hour street parking, making it extremely difficult to find a space. I also could not find a smoke detector, which was concerning.
Overall, the listing did not accurately represent the property. With some basic maintenance, updated linen and towels, and a few inexpensive replacements, many of these issues could easily be fixed. The listing should be updated to accurately reflect the accommodation before accepting further bookings.
