The Talloires Lakehouse Villa

The Talloires Lakehouse Villa is a stunning, recently renovated chalet offering breathtaking views of the lake and mountains.
With 9 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, cozy living spaces, a large terrace facing the lake, and just a few minutes' walk from the lake, beaches, village center and its shops, bars, restaurants, bike path, and tennis courts, the house is ideally located to fully enjoy the region.

The entire villa, including the house and basement apartment, is reserved exclusively for you, as are the outdoor terraces and garden.

Villa Talloires Lakehouse offers modern, bright, and welcoming spaces with large windows overlooking the lake, providing ever-changing views of the surrounding landscape.

A large kitchen open to the living and dining room extends across the entire front of the house, offering breathtaking views of the lake.

The kitchen is equipped with a central island with high-end appliances and granite countertops. It includes a large American-style fridge-freezer with ice maker, a dishwasher, plenty of storage space, two sinks, a large induction hob, and enough crockery and pots and pans for the whole house. A laundry room with another sink, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer is also available.

Large sliding doors open onto the terrace, offering spectacular views of the lake. The terrace has recently been extended along the entire length of the house and now includes a sheltered area for enjoying the outdoors in all weathers, a large outdoor seating and dining area, a barbecue, and a bar connected to the kitchen.

A TV lounge with home cinema, sofas, and armchairs, as well as a wide selection of books, games, and DVDs, complete this property.

On the second floor are 5 bedrooms, 3 of which have spectacular views of the lake:

- 1 master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub and toilet overlooking the lake.

- 1 double bedroom with double bed and shower.

- 1 double bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower.

- 1 twin bedroom with shared en-suite shower room.

- 1 twin bedroom.

A bathroom and separate toilet are also available.

The attic has been recently renovated and includes a master bedroom with a king-size bed and air conditioning, a suspended terrace overlooking the lake, a spacious bathroom, and a small sitting area. The view is breathtaking!

On the ground floor of the house is a separate apartment that can accommodate 4 people. It includes a kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms (one with two single beds and the other with a double bed). The apartment also has its own terrace with a dining table, outdoor seating area, and barbecue.

There is also an annex on this level: an additional double bedroom, an office, and a bathroom. The bedroom and office overlook the lake. They are open plan and connect to the main house.

The enclosed alpine garden with a trampoline is ideal for children to run around and let off steam. Adults can relax on the terrace and enjoy the view of the lake and mountains!

In town, you will find a bakery, a grocery store, a newsstand, numerous restaurants, and an excellent small cinema!

GETTING AROUND:
There are numerous buses connecting Talloires to Annecy, and in summer, other shuttles serve Montmin and Angon. You can also use Grand Annecy's eco-friendly electric bikes free of charge for 30 minutes to travel between the villages and Annecy.
Finally, there are boat shuttles from Talloires to Annecy.

NEARBY
This apartment is ideal for enjoying village life and the nearby lake activities: there is a market every Thursday, and the village's main square with its restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and tourist shops is right outside our windows. There is also a great little movie theater!

You are a 5-minute walk from the bike path, the village beach with its diving boards and platforms, its paddling pool, its volleyball court, an excellent pizzeria, concerts, etc.

You will find a water sports center where you can rent paddleboards, kayaks, pedal boats, etc. ; a mini-golf course, as well as the Talloires golf course; a scuba diving and freediving club...

Right at the end of our driveway is the bike path that goes around the lake, now completely safe. It's an ideal route for the whole family, allowing you to easily reach Angon and its pretty beach. You can also stop by the water for a swim.

5 star view but not quite matched by service

withput doubt the property has a 5 star view and location but it does not have a 5 star service. Some elements are strucutral - for example one lavatory for 8 people on the first floor and a sheer cliff surrounding the garden where fototballs are lost ( a fence would be good). Notwithstanding we found the service not up to standard. We were without hot water for four days which given there was a 7 month old baby was a trial. When the sink blocked - which we were warned about, again it took 2 days to rectify and despite paying for cleaning, the cleaner only changed the linen after the first week. The welcome pack was parsimonious to say the least and not refreshed after the first week so we had to buy toilet paper and washing up liquid which felt a bit mean given there was no reduction in prcie for 2 weeks. Given the stunning architecture, the fittings were ikea which felt wrong and the hanging space in the penthouse was risible.We did enjoy our stay there as the spaces worked perfectly for this extended family but I think, with the exception of the lavatory issue, some small adjustments would make a huge difference and bring it up to the 5 stars that it deserves.
