Full disclosure, we are new to VRBO. Perhaps we just donât know the process.
We booked for 2 adults and 2 pets. Paid the nightly rate, cleaning & service fee.
2 months later, we asked for check in instructions. The property wanted my credit card info (emailed directly to property) and approval for EXTRA $X00 pet fee. (not disclosing amount donât want review removed)
Wouldnât property be required to disclose all fees prior to the cancellation period? They KNEW we were bringing pets. Why wait until 3 days before to disclose the extra fee?! On principle alone, I canât believe VRBO allows this.
Additionally, several issues w/ property:
âą Garbage disposal would not turn on & severely LEAKED from bottom.
âą They had bucket under sink to catch the stinky water. We dumped the stinky water in bathtub a few times a day. We basically couldnât use the kitchen because of the sink.
âą The washing machine was unusable. It would become off balance every time, sounded like it will go through the wall.
âą The bathroom sink was slow drain, thankfully there was a plunger, but seems ridiculous we had to plunge our sink every day.
âą There was visible dog hair on couch and floor. I only mention this because of the hefty cleaning fees to âsanitizeâ the unit. They wanted $X00 total for cleaning fees (and we have hairless cats, lol) đ
We like the extra space of having a few bedrooms but honestly we will just get a suite at a hotelâŠthe price is the same after all the fees.
