Delightful stay for one night, surrounded by beautiful grounds and countryside and with lovely sea views. Selected for closeness to Claonaig ferry to Arran, which is first-come first-served, but would be a lovely place to stay longer and explore Kintyre. Our hosts were really helpful and very friendly and everything was perfect for us
We had stayed at Crossaig lodge for two nights while visiting Islay and Campbeltown. Susan was a wonderful host and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot breakfast was a real treat with a great spread. Highly recommend and would love to visit again!
This is run by a lovely couple,Very Friendly and helpful. The accommodation is clean and tidy Breakfast is excellent, all local produce and delicious home made bread too. Bed Very comfy. I highly recommend
Cracking little stay in Scotland at the Crossaig Lodge. Susan was very patient with my little dog, very helpful and considerate as a host.
The lodge was greatly situated to island hop to Gigha or Arran..
I absolutely loved my stay at Crossaig Lodge and I cannot thank Susan enough for going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Would thoroughly recommend, but would make sure youâre a confident driver, as the road to the property is a little treacherous.
A beautifully located Georgian property close to gorgeous beaches and stunning views of the Kintyre peninsula. The hosts, Susan and Angus (who is a chef) made sure that our stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also delicious! We received many recommendations from Susan about what places to explore and where to find the most interesting local sights, while Angus made delicious breakfasts and recommended many nice places to eat around. Perfect May weekend â€ïž
The owners Susan and Angus made us very welcome, the commendation was a full suite at the front of the house looking over a beautiful garden towards the sea. Every thing was clean and spotless.! And nothing was too much trouble from the owners to make are stay wonderful.
The evening 3 course meals were fully prepared fresh by Angus, at an extra cost, but well worth it.
For the walkers on the Kintyre way, the sole lodging that we found for the first stage Tarbert to Skipness.
A few km by foot to go and come back but the lodge is very beautiful and our hostess nicely proposes to pick you up by car if you don't want to walk.
You will be the only people at this B and B. It little slice of paradise is a little isolated and there are no cooking facilities in your room, but the breakfast is amazing, the room is gorgeous and comfy and you will feel waited on hand and foot. It is a 30 minute drive along winding lanes to the nearest 'towns' for lunch and dinner, but the views of Arran and the wildlife and serenity and quiet are what you come here for. Lots of great places to visit and sightsee and if you just want to sit and take it all in, this is the place to be. If you are a painter or an author ...this is your hideaway!
