A nice cabin, very very quiet. I was very pleased with the stay and saw a lot of wildlife. One of the most relaxing stays I have had in a long time. My only gripe is I was never offered to be abducted by aliens (in house property joke)! 9 out of 10âŠnot abducted!!
We were really impressed with how quaint this little cabin was. Needs a bit of work but, a great value for the buck. Very quiet and secluded, as we like. There were places and spaces for our two grandsons to enjoy on their very first cabin trip.
Been to White oaks for many many years and stayed in most of the cabins Under new ownership now, who is trying to carry on with cabins that isolated for a time Different but still a good experience and loved the new owners ideas for the place Enjoyable visit
Broken railing with caution tape on it, dirty and cracked chairs by the fire pit, screens on the porch were missing or torn, no wood for fire pit, wifi didnât work, grill was disgusting, cobwebs inside the cabin and the park for the kids had caution tape all over it that said no trespassing.
The host was very nice and did her best to accommodate us but this place needs a little TLC.
Very lovely cabin. Secluded and peaceful yet close to many attractions. Nice screened in porch and wonderful fire pit. Each night we heard owls.Host Heather was friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Also cabin was very well stocked , could not have asked for anything more!!
My best friend and I were looking for a secluded cabin for a tech-free reading vacation and came across several listings for the White Oaks cabins. We picked this one because it appeared to offer everything we needed.
First off, the host was great, answering all my questions and offering help for whatever we needed.
Checking in was flawless thanks and the welcome text included a map and helpful hints. Definitely drive cautiously, the gravel road is not one to be taken quickly. The cabin had a beautiful old charm but also every amenity we needed. We didn't use the wi-fi much but the signal was strong. The furniture was clean and comfy. I already miss the recliner. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve meals. The beds were comfy and we both slept perfectly well.
The cabin is showing its age, but to us that was just a picture of how loved it is. There's some wear and tear that fussier people might complain about, but it didn't bother us at all. The one suggestion I would make is that the bathroom needs a stronger light. It was a bit of a dark shower.
I look forward to booking again. It was a lovely time
This place was awesome. Secluded but just enough to be close enough to a town also. Reception for phones was great at and inside of cabin. Perfect getaway
My family and I went here for a weekend away. We loved our cabin stay and played corn hole and connect 4. We had smores by the fire and roasted hot dogs. We had a great time and will be back
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was clean, well stocked, and very cozy. The heat was not turned on when we got there, and I texted the owner and he sent someone out to get it taken care. (Thermostat was locked) Then he checked back in to make sure we were okay. Very helpful! We had a nice time exploring the property. Playground area could use some updates, but we thought the activity barn was a good addition. Overall, we had a great experience! We recommend checking it out.
My son (16) and I stayed for a night while exploring some caves the area has to offer. Cabin was clean, well stocked, and welcoming. Great place to unplug and enjoy an evening fire!
The property was very nice. I thought it may have been more secluded than it was, but it was still very peaceful for our one-night stay. Host was very easy to communicate with. I wouldn't be opposed to a longer weekend in the future.
