Great location and very comfortable amenities in the condo. The condo is definitely lacking some maintenance and upkeep, including a broken coffee pot, broken master tub no light in the master bathroom or the third bedroom. Aside from that it was very comfortable with lots of little attention to detail that was appreciated.
I booked a long weekend at Telluride for skiing and to spend time with my family. My daughterâs soon to be finaceâ informed me weeks before our planned vacation he was planning to propose to my daughter the first night of our trip. He had secured a photographer to capture this momentous event on film and set a 4:45 appt in town before the sunset. I had contacted Vacasa several times before our trip to request early check in or if the room could be cleaned early to allow my daughter to shower before going out. The staff was not courteous and emphasized their check-in policy. On the day of our arrival, my soon to be son-in-law called Vacasa to ask again. We were told that the cleaning service would be contacted. After several phone calls to the company and then to the general manager, the cleaning service did not show until ten minutes before check-in. In fact, our place was not ready until after 5:00. The general manager noted that he would provide a refund up to 50% of our stay, but I have not yet received it. Moreover, the fireplace and three TVâs did not work. The supervisor noted that two tvâs do not work and that the third or main tv was spotty. He appeared late or around 4:45 with an unpleasant attitude. In addition, the hot water was also inadequate for a three bedroom condo. The water became freezing cold after two showers. We enjoyed the condo and its amenities, but the horrendous check-in experince started our vacation on a very negative note.
Really enjoyed our stay in the heart of telluride. Only a few blocks away from the gondola and the main downtown area of Telluride. Great views from each room, especially the master. Comfy beds and everything you need in the kitchen for cooking.
THE LISTING NEEDS TO BE UPDATED TO INLCUDE NEW ITEMS
The unit has a new kitchen and appliances- unfortunately when we arrived it looked like they need a few more days to complete it. The packing supplies were still on the appliances and the shelving had not been installed. All 3 of the closets were unusable bc they had not installed the hanger bars yet. The unit looks like its in the middle of being painted as the artwork is all propped on the floors.
We were able to work around this but it was disappointing.
The 3rd bedroom has been changed to include a full/twin bunk instead of the 2 bunk beds. We had our 2 teenage daughters staying in that room so that was an unwelcome surprise. The twin bunk is very close to the ceiling.
The hot water heater is the biggest issue. It is a 40 gallon electric tank that cannot keep up with 5 people during winter. After the first day of skiing we had 1 full shower and the others were ice cold. We figured out that we would have to stagger showers each day after skiing and before dinner and keep the shower to no more than 4-5 minutes. I would think in the summer it would work better but with the temps being near 10 degrees the hot water heater struggles.
The unit had 3 lightbulbs out upon arrival, 1 lamp broken in the 3rd bedroom which has no other light and the fireplace was not working. We were able to fix 2 lightbulbs and Vacasa came the 2nd day to get the fireplace working.
The heaters work great and the beds are comfy. The location to the Gondola and chair 7 are great. The views and TV options are great. The living area is cozy for 5 people.
The locker storage in Mountain Village is a plus- just NOTE- it is called "Latitude 38 Clubhouse" not The Clubhouse as Vacasa will tell you. We had trouble with the door code sent to us upon arrival and Vacasa was quick to help.
This is a nice condo but unfortunately it was not ready for us to arrive for Christmas 2022
Nice location with excellent views of the canyon.
We had a very difficult time accessing the unit after repeated calls and multiple codes we were able to enter.
On entry the unit was 62 degreesâŠ
After four hours with all of the wall heaters on it was 63/64. Vacasaâs local rep brought over some space heaters that over night got the bedrooms to the right temperature. The common areas were still cold in the morningâŠ
We encountered the same code problems when trying to access the hot tub, multiple calls on multiple daysâŠ
The mater suite is on the second level accessed by a small spiral stair. We slept our 23 month old in the master bath which was nice and weâre careful to keep the pocket door closed as the stairs are not great for small children (wide gaps in the railing). The master has a best view in the house with a large window.
The master bed (no headboard). Is placed right under that window. We didnât notice until the second night that that set up makes it very drafty cold at your headâŠ. We didnât notice the first night because the house was so cold haha!
A couple of other things to note. The access door does not have a dead bolt. It should for both external access and toddler control.
Our little guy loved to open that door which was not ideal as the unit is right night to a long flight of stairs.
The unit looked like it was being remodeled (notice on the door) and some parts of kitchen punch list were not complete (light fixture covers not on, some shelves not complete).
The decor is a little hodge lodge mixed quality and the âwoodâ laminate floors are bubbling up in both levels.
Putting all of these factors together we were disappointed with our stay would not stay in this unit again.
We so enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was a great location with fabulous views. We could easily walk the kids to the gondola every morning to take them to camp in Mountain Village. We enjoyed the restaurants and shopping close by. It was perfect for our family of 5!
Location was near everything we neededâŠgondola (5-10 minute walk), store was right around the corner, easy access to town, and two restaurants on the same block. Also near the start of town so itâs easy to reach and then get out of town. Jeep tour company even picked us up at the condo.
Pro-tip: figure out how to open the windows and skylight first thing. Sleeping with them open in the summer is the best!
