➻We really enjoyed our stay at 10 Bits Ranch! The property is unique, peaceful, and perfectly located for exploring Big Bend. The views are incredible, and the Western-themed casitas make the stay feel extra special. Everything was clean and comfortable, and it was a great place to come back to after a long day.
I simply cannot wait to come back. The cabins were well cared for, and the scenery is amazing. I am into astrophotography, and I was able to capture stunning shots from right outside the porch. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Awesome location to see the sky. Cabins are not just functional but well appointed and comfortable. The shower head did need a little TLC. Would def stay again.
Exactly as described. It was huge space for 3 adults staying one night. Resembles small western town. Our own fire pit and porch with rocking chairs was great! The cleanliness could use improvement but the views well made up for it. Very comfortable king size beds. Water pressure in shower isnt the best but that could be because they're off grid---shower head needs serious cleaning or replaced. Be aware--its a rough ride up the "driveway."
This little spot is cute but a bit remote. The cabin we stayed in was great. 2 queen beds and spacious. Bath was very nice too. Plenty of towels and appointed well. Refrig, microwave and coffee bar were appreciated. The 2 miles on the choppy road was not a winner for us. We just learned a bit more about this part of TX and probably won't return as there was so much driving. If you want complete solitude you will love it here. The communication was really good and instant so thanks !
The property was excellent. I love the way they use solar power and try to be Earth friiendly. The view was wonderful, the hiking trails wonderful, the cabin itself was really, really nice. We love tis place. It's our second time there and I'm sure we'll be back. My granddaughter, age 7 didnt want to leave.
Perfect location and wonderful facilities. It was perfect for our group (me, my daughter and niece). The location itself had everything we need, esp with the cantina storage and kitchen situation. We loved the fire pit outside our room and the views were amazing. Star gazing each night was magnificent. The only negative comment is the water pressure in the shower - after a long day of hiking and dust the barely there shower was less than satisfying. Will definitely stay again!!
This property was gorgeous! I worried we would be âroughing itâ here but that wasnât the case at all. It was clean and welcoming with satellite TV, cool AC and comfortable bedding. Plus a nice bathroom which is important. The view out the front porch canât be beat! I love that they are dog friendly as we were traveling with our police dog. This was a quiet property and the other guests were all friendly. I hope to come back here one day soon.
The setting is gorgeous, the managers are very proactive in communicating and it is just as described.
It was so quiet, the night sky was fabulous and the communal kitchen added just the right touch of camaraderie to a quiet desert getaway.
Totally charming.
Loved the location and the night sky viewing. Big beds were awesome too. However, the place could use a deep cleaning. Floors were still quite sandy/dirty. Shower was not as clean as it should have been and the shower head should be de-scaled or replaced so water flow is not wonky or restricted so much.
Ten Bits Ranch was a great place to stay to visit Big Bend. It was perhaps slightly further away from Terlingua than we thought, but it worked fine. The âcantinaâ where we had breakfast was a great way to meet other guests, and the kids loved stargazing near the fire pit. My only criticism is that our room needed to have been aired before we arrived. It is built of concrete which smelled unpleasant and there was a layer of dust on everything. This was a real shame as the location was wonderful.
The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the surrounding peaks. It was like we were in the park.
We drove down North County Rd and saw up close formations that we did not see in the national park.
Our room was very comfortable. The one thing that suprised us was that the water on the ranch is not drinkable. The owners proved plenty of water for everyone.
We enjoyed going to the central kitchen and dining building. It gave us a chance to visit with others and shared what was seen at the national and state park. There was plenty of refrigerator space for our food. They provided a variety of choices for breakfast and had lots of spices on hand to cook with.
The staff is not on sight but they were easy to reach
and very helpful. If you had any questions about your cabin or where to go in town they were available to help you.
The property was very nice and put together well. The location is a bit remote so make sure to bring your own drinks and snacks but otherwise it is an amazing location with great facilities. Check in and out was seamless.
