We did contact to say our time of arrival and telephoned ahead too but there was no answer. We liked the room although the bells are continuous through the night which seems unnecessary. Can the church council not consider the noise pollution? We thought it good value for money and the breakfast is more than substantial. The coffee quality wasn't great though and we are unclear why we needed to breakfast at 8am on a Sunday, seemed too early for a Sunday we felt. Staff are very pleasant and accomodating, thank you
We were very impressed by the standard of cleanliness and decoration in our room. It was extremely comfortable and offered light refreshments that travellers need . A very useful file on the desk to tell us all about Tewkesbury and useful numbers we made need . And a brief description of the houses history .
A very relaxed stay in a beautiful stylish house with all comforts. The executive suite is very spacious and the bed very comfortable, it is on the roadside but we didn’t hear traffic but did use eye mask for the light after closing the blinds still allowed a little through and we had a great sleep. Breakfast offered several choices so something for everyone and it was plentiful & delicious. We highly recommend a stay here and an explore around Tewkesbury

Comments about us We received a warm welcome by Judy on our arrival and shown directly to our room despite being a little early. The house is very old so the stairs are fairly steep which was not a problem for us but could be for the less mobile. Our bedroom was of a good size with a Super- king size bed, and lovely quality bedding. There is good storage for clothes. The en suite arrangement a little quirky with the large vanity area open to the room and the toilet and shower in alcoves on either side, but the house is grade 2 listed so these quirks to be expected
Tips for other travellers We visited Snowshill and Broadway, about 30 minutes drive away. Dining was at the Tudor House hotel on the first night and Gupshill manor on the second evening, both excellent food. A range of different shops and of course Tewkesbury Abbey within walking distance.
Lovely location, quaint old house but generous size rooms beautifully decorated. Joan was very caring and helpful and the breakfast choice was great. Would definitely recommend Jessop house if you are visiting Tewkesbury
The hotel is great, perfect location for exploring the local area. The room was light and airy with excellent facilities. Good breakfast too! Joan is an excellent host, very warm and welcoming. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the four poster suite. Very comfortable bed and lovely shower. We were met by Joan who was extremely hospitable and helpful with recommendations for restaurants, etc. Very good breakfast which was freshly prepared to order. Property is conveniently located close to the town centre. Will definitely stay here again when next in the area.
This is a lovely place, immaculately clean. I would have given 5 stars but sadly it was very noisy due to being next to road, the bed and pillows were also rock hard (that’s just a personal preference liking a softer one!) But location was great, rooms are huge! I would return another time (with my own pillow)

Liked: Cleanliness
My fault - I assumed this was a full service hotel but it’s a basic B&B The room was ok and overall everything was clean. Probably best if they remove the word Hotel from the title as this is what misled me. Position wise the accommodation is close to everything Tewkesbury has to offer. If you are looking for a B&B it’s fine - but it’s not a hotel.
This property is outstanding in its location, in its cleanliness and comfortable room. Run by Joan, who is extremely helpful with any queries you might have, going out of her way to assist, she is a real professional, and likewise the waitress we had was exceptional. The accommodation was possibly the best we've ever had for peace and quiet, and again the breakfast was superb, one of our best ever we've had. We are looking forward to returning whenever we get the chance as it's so good.
Very welcoming and friendly hostess. Conveniently positioned and well maintained property. Very good choice and quality of breakfast, well cooked and presented.
Lovely b&b on the main road through this medieval market town. Very near the Abbey and other attractions. Owner was friendly and very attentive. Would stay here again!
