This house was very big and very nice, and was a great place to stay in The Dalles. It could easily handle 4 familys with room to spread out.Kitchen was very nice and had everything we needed to prep dinnr, with tons of plates and utencils to go around.

This is a spacious historical home with a magnificent view. It has a wonderful updated kitchen with ever possible tool and appliance one might need for a family feast, including enough plates, bowls, and glassware for a large group. The beds are super comfy and the entire home is spotless. The rec room with pool table provides a great space for fun, and the basement is set up with the little ones in mind. One of the most inviting places, though, is the large wrap-around porch with a view of the city, mountains, and Columbia river.

Ladies lounging weekend

OMG! What a beautiful space! The house had everything you could want or wish for in a vacation rental. We so enjoyed our afternoons sitting outside on the porch sipping some lovely Hood River wines and enjoying the views. The 14 pound one eyed dog had a blast chasing squirrels in the huge yard. The property management team were attemtive and informative. We would stay here again and again and again!

Amazing place!

We are 2 couples visiting the Gorge and had a wonderful time at this lovely home. Every thing was great, but the best part was the beautiful porch and amazing view that cannot be beat! We spent every morning and evening out there soaking up the gorgeous view. The beds were very comfortable and home was very clean. We even picked and enjoyed a few apples from the tree in the yard. So yummy! We were sad to leave and would most definitely stay here again, if we ever come this way again.

Loved our stay!

We had a little family reunion with my dad who lives in Goldendale. The house was perfect with lots of space for everyone. The toddler loved the room in the basement with the pretend stove and tee pee The porch and the views were amazing! When we come to visit my dad again, we will definitely be coming back!

Sibling Reunion!

We had a wonderful 4 night Four Sibling Reunion plus wives. The house had plenty of room for four couples and one little dog. Despite smokey skies obscuring our view of the mighty Columbia Gorge, the marvelous porch was in full use all day and evening. The massive yard was wonderful for the little dog, as well as for several of us practicing yoga on the lawn. The kitchen was absolutely fantastic with so much top of the line equipment. We gave the dishwasher a workout.

A Taste of High Society from Almost 100 Years Ago

Have been driving through The Dalles for over 40 years but had never spent a night there. Struck gold on this first ever three-night stay. The house was amazing. The dining room, living room, library and bar area were masterfully preserved retaining the original ambiance of a luxurious home built in 1929. Despite this, we spent almost all of our time on the wrap around deck from sunrise to well past sunset. The kitchen was updated with top shelf appliances and gear. Cooked and barbequed two meals and went out once. Ate all meals on the deck. Went to museums, wine-tasting rooms, wineries and shopping and never had to drive more than 10 miles from the house with most locations less than 4 miles. Oh, one more thing--the view was spectacular.

Stunning views and great family stay

We loved this home! First off, the views of the gorge are incredible. We loved sitting on the wrap around porch and watching the sunset. The home is super cool and historical, but has been updated in the places you want like the kitchen, giant family/game room, and AC making it very comfortable. This was a great hub for our family trip to the gorge. We went to Hood River, hiked the area, and The Dalles itself had fun things to do (museums, winery, cool historical downtown).
