It was great. There was treats, gifts, and drinks for my boyfriend birthday. The trails are always fun and exciting. The rockhouse restaurant, jack's, and M&M restaurants were delicious. Great weekend get away without stress. Most of the time i didn't have phone service and that was a blessing
The place was nice, didnt care for portable toilet, but other than that everything qas rwally good and neighborhood wasnt best ,but it was quite where we were, over all it was a nice stay
The futon and bed were both very uncomfortable, and the bus felt smaller than expected. I had to buy an air mattress for comfort. The portable AC wasnât strong enough to cool the whole busâI had to close off the bathroom and bedroom just to cool the living area. The house in front of the bus looked run down and poorly maintained. While the nature trail was nice for walking my dog, the bus is located directly behind houses, which wasnât clear in the listing.
The Skoolie is a lovely combination between staying in a rustic cabin and glamping. It is a school bus to it is small, but 2 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs fit...you just have to be ok with tight quarters. Billy Jo was lovely and responsive. My only negative is that it was not as secluded as the photos made me think. That may have been my mistake, but it is by a house and church in a little community - I was picturing more out on someone's land with nothing around. That did not detract from the fun we had while staying there.
This is such a unique and fun property! It's cozy and comfortable, and well-stocked with little amenities. The space heaters kept it plenty warm, even though it was winter. We had a lot of fun hiking in the many nearby parks, and it was very convenient to Nelsonville. When we had a tiny issue the hosts responded within minutes which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!
