Lovely spot for a cozy winter getaway. It was comfortable, the furnishings were stylish and functional, and the kitchen was well-appointed. We found plenty to do in small towns nearby and also enjoyed peace and quiet at the cottage.

Check in was very simple. Kitchen was fully stocked with more than enough flatware, stoneware, stemware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, you name it, it is most likely there. The entire place was clean, felt like home. We all brought bins full of stuff due to past VRBO experiences, we hardly had to dig into them. Only needed ziploc bags for storage, other than that, they've got it covered. Beautiful place perfect for a small gathering of friends or a quick little family get away.

Family trip to Michigan

The stay was great. Close driving distance to beaches and beach towns. Small space but the layout is well designed. Beds were very comfortable! A small thing I would recommend is adding a full length mirror over one of the doors. Perhaps the laundry room door. Only one bathroom so another mirror would be helpful. Close proximity to several beaches and we really enjoyed our rainy day in the town of Three Oaks. Journeyman distillery was great!

Peaceful stay

This property is down a gravel road into a small neighborhood. There are many trees on the property and bird song The house is so nicely decorated and very comfortable. I had everything I needed. You may be lucky like me and see a deer I did have reception difficulties on the beaches and in the woods so be prepared for that. I wanted to stay longer than I did! For us the perfect location. It was a comfortable place for two couples. I personally would not like to stay there with more since there is very little place to hang towels (hooks) or put things away (closets). But for us it was great. Enjoyed the deck (a bit of painting is needed).

Very beautiful interior and lovely home overall. Well equipped. Good location. Great host. Only issue was the housekeeping. The beds were not made and seemed to have not been washed. Also there was what looked like cat pee on one of the carpets. Once we washed them in the provided washer and dryer, all was well. Host graciously refunded our cleaning fee explaining she had new housekeeper. Hopefully it was a one-time issue! This really was a lovely place to stay!

Perfect Quiet Getaway!

This was the perfect spot for a low-key girls trip! The kitchen was well equipped with what we needed for cooking, and plenty of coffee supplies. The welcome baskets were so practical and adorable! Alison let me check in an hour early which was so nice!! A few things to note - the bathroom fans and the shower crank window were both broken so there wasn’t any ventilation available. The kitchen garbage wasn’t functional, when we arrived the bag wasn’t installed onto the can and clearly was way too small for the can, so that was a struggle. The screened in porch with beds hadn’t been vacuumed upon arrival as there was dirt, dead bugs/flies all over the ground which was a little icky for somewhere we were going to be sleeping. The dishwasher, vacuum and dryer were also full upon arrival. Overall, this was a wonderful spot for our group, just felt the cleaners missed a few things before we got there - it happens! Expected more and settled for less

Stained and dirty furniture covers and area rugs; active train track less that 100 yards from property; patio furniture stained and dirty; musty or similar odor easily detectable; not a three bedroom as advertised. The cottage is priced appropriately for the market but the “exceptional” reviews are misleading based on my experience with VRBO properties. We enjoyed our long weekend but expectations were much higher given previous reviews and property description. Expect a reasonably priced accommodation with the listed issues you will need to overlook.

Summer Getaway

We loved our stay at this beautiful Michigan home. The house itself is adorable, clean, and accurately matches the photos on the listing. We didn’t do a lot of cooking at the house, but it’s seems to be well stocked with everything you would need. It’s a great location to beaches and all the cute little towns along the Red Arrow Highway. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely, nicely decorated

This was a perfect little rental for myself and my brother for my mothers celebration of life in New Buffalo.It has a beautiful backyard and the interior is adorable.. the kitchen is very Nice but only used it for breakfast.. its in a quiet woodsy area, close to new buffalo. It only has one bedroom with a proper bed the other bedroom is bunkbeds, so my tall brother had to sleep in a kid’s bunk.. probably perfect for a couple with kids. The host was very responsive and helpful. If i ever visit again I would stay here, other family members rented places that were just atrocious, badly decorated and moldy. This place is a gem

Super cozy yet Spacious

Totally loved this home! We had a girls weekend with 4 teens and 2 moms. Lovely relaxing front porch that also was our bedroom bc of the extra beds out in the enclosed porch...felt like we were sleeping under the stars yet had the comforts of air conditioning and large windows. House very comfy and open with wonderful kitchen and modern bathroom! Will definately return!!

Romantic Retreat

While the pictures of this house are great, the actual home leaves you in awe! The home is amazingly decorated and takes on a chic, comfy, quaint, and romantic style all in one! Everything is immaculate and fresh which makes you feel comfortable staying. The home is equipped with anything you could need for cooking, (especially a wine opener), a plethora of towels, and lots of great blankets for curling up with wine on the sofa. The outside is great, although we didn’t get to take advantage of the backyard as it rained quite a bit the day we stayed in. The location is secluded at the bottom of a dead end and surrounded by trees and nature. The home is a short drive to anything/everything. You can tell Alison knows what she’s doing! Would stay here over and over again!
