This was our second stay at this hotel. While our first visit was fantastic, this recent experience has left me uncertain about returning.
The room itself was clean, but we experienced an ongoing issue with the toilet repeatedly filling with suds—staff said it due to its proximity to the laundry room.
What was most disappointing, however, was the boat dock reservation process. One of the main reasons we chose to return to this hotel was for the dock access, but securing a spot turned out to be a hassle. I contacted the hotel well in advance and was told I’d be added to a list, with no confirmation until closer to our arrival. A week before our stay, I followed up again and was told no spot was available—only to later be assigned a very shallow dock where our boat would hit bottom at low tide. To make matters worse, several dock spaces remained unoccupied throughout our visit. It’s also concerning that dock spaces are being rented out to non-hotel guests. I strongly believe that hotel guests should be given priority for dock reservations, especially when that amenity is a key reason for choosing the property.
The staff are friendly and make an effort to be helpful, but at times the service lacked follow-through. I requested extra towels and tissues multiple times and didn’t receive them until I went to the front desk myself.
Overall, this stay fell short of the expectations set by our first visit.
