This hotel is a good example of quirky meets compact meets independent. Instead of people at the front desk, there are robot humans who greet you. I know this is a thing for this hotel chain with some hotels having dinosaurs or other robots at the front desk. There is also a staff member hidden behind a door to help if you need it. The check in overall is done on a touchpad at the front desk. It is simple as long as you did the check in process online 48 hours before you check in. The front desk is on the 2nd floor and next to it is also a space you can lock your luggage for free. You also get access to Choco Zap (a small gym chain in Japan) and they have a washer/dryer. The room itself is tight with minimal space to walk around between the wall, beds, and the bathroom. If you have multiple luggage pieces you’ll feel the tightness. However, many of the street views from the window are great, there is a bathtub with the shower, and a small sitting space along with mini fridge in such a tiny space. It’s either cozy or cramp, depending on your POV. The worst thing about this hotel is breakfast. Served from 7-10 AM in the Irish pub downstairs, it feels gross and out of place. Food is okay but better off going out to get breakfast. Great location if you’ll be doing most activities near Shibuya, fast staff response, bad breakfast, tight room, and good value for what it is. Good for solo travel or intermediate stay between hotels.

Very nice economical hotel. The robots at check in are fun. We literally interacted with no humans or staff during our 3 nights which is why I didn't rate the service. The rooms were small but very clean and had all the amenities needed. I was impressed with the hotel. As a family of 5 we did have to get two separate rooms but still more reasonable than other area hotels. Overall, great place wouldn't hesitate to come back if in Tokyo again.

The location is the only positive.

The location in Akasaka is very convenient. The rooms at really small - even smaller than the pictures- for a family trip. As the robots don't solve all the problems, you need to call the hotel works who are behind the wall. The pillows are like sand bags, not exaggerating. And they don't make the beds and take the trash out of the room everyday. It's a fair option if you want to save and still be ina good location.
