I had an amazing stay at Hotel Gracery Shinjuku! The location is absolutely perfect — right in the middle of the vibrant Kabukicho area, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and Shinjuku Station. Despite being in such a busy area, the hotel itself feels like a peaceful escape from the city buzz. The Godzilla theme adds a really fun and unique touch. If you’re a fan, definitely book a room with a view of the Godzilla head — it’s a one-of-a-kind experience! The rooms are compact (as expected in Tokyo) but very well-designed, spotless, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like a mobile phone for guests, a high-tech toilet, and plenty of charging options. Staff were friendly, professional, and spoke good English, which made check-in and check-out smooth and easy. I also loved the security system — you need your room card to access the guest floors, which added an extra level of comfort. Would definitely recommend Hotel Gracery Shinjuku to anyone visiting Tokyo — whether for sightseeing, shopping, or just soaking in the energy of this incredible city. I’ll gladly stay here again!

The hotel is great and the staff are excellent. The hotel is in the entertainment district and is surrounded by restaurants, bars and other types of entertainment. The recruiters for the more adult types of entertainment can be very aggressive. I am glad I didn’t have my kids with me.

Clean hotel and great service. Conveniently located from the Kabukicho Airport Limosine Bus station located about 300 feet west of the hotel. There are various dining and a 7 Eleven on the ground floor as well as dining practically down every street. Shinjuku Station is an easy walk. Rooms were a typical Japanese hotel size, but smaller than Western branded hotels. If you're a Godzilla fan, this hotel is a must. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is a great base of operations for exploring Shinjuku, b/c it's right in the middle of all the action. I'm a Godzilla fan, so the Godzilla theming was also a lot of fun. Everything was well run and the service was good. My one issue is that the room we had was really tight. Like I didn't even have enough space to open my luggage flat on the floor.

Breakfast was a set menu. It was not prepared fresh and was cold. Buffet breakfast is no longer offered. In short it was poor. The TV had only one english channel being BBC News. Very poor for a hotel in a popular tourist area. The bed was not made daily or the room cleaned. Only the towels were changed daily. This hotel experience has deteriorated significantly since 2017 when we last stayed. Only its convenient position is its best feature.

Inaccurate Information

This was bittersweet. This was a trip I had been planning for years, chose this hotel because I’m a huge Godzilla fan. I had to wait to book the room because I could not book more than 6 months in advance. I paid nearly $1000 a night to stay in the exclusive Godzilla room, and because I was under the impression that I would be able to go out on the terrace and have a meal in the cafe, the room I got was basic, the terrace was closed, and you had to purchase tickets to get into the cafe at least a day in advance, or they most likely would sell out, even if you paid nearly a thousand dollars a night. All of these things could have been avoided had Hotels.com had done some research. The hotel was fine, not what I had booked, certainly not what I was expecting, but overall the hotel was fine. Not sure who needs to be addressed about the lack of accuracy. Overall it was a real let down.

This is a great hotel in a wild and busy part of town that everyone visits. It’s full of life and history. It’s very popular for nightlife for the Japanese and they know how to party. My friend is 80 and I’m 73 and we absolutely loved it. Mornings are a bit of a shock as the streets are littered with the night’s debris. It got cleaned up every morning but it was a surprise to see. We did go out every evening and felt safe but weren’t out after midnight and so felt safe in all the crowds. Again the hotel is very lovely and we had no street noise. Great location but make sure you come out the east exit of the train station because it’s straight down the street to the gorilla head which sits on top of the hotel. Enter to the right of the escalator and find your way to the main access door. You will the take an elevator to the 8 th floor for checkin. I highly recommend the hot pot restaurant on the main floor. They guided us very well on how to cook everything and when. A very good meal. We are foodies and like to eat nutricious foods, especially my Parisian friend. I also recommend you book the night walking tour of this area which is only an hour snd s half long. We don’t typically like tours but we would never have discovered the hidden gems ourselves. So glad we chose this area and our hotel. Enjoy your trip.
