Amazing location and price for such a great stay. The cafe area with free drinks was a great bonus, and a nice place to connect with other travelers which made it feel a lot more homey and friendly. Staff were helpful and kind, and the hotel provided all needed toiletries which is standard for a Japanese hotel and really made the stay that much more pleasureable. For a hotel in Shinjuku, this price is unbeatable. I will consider and recommend this hotel to others in the future.

I unfortunately only stayed one night out of originally 6 planned nights. Upon arrival, I tried not to let the exterior get my better judgement. However, as I got into the hotel I thought “oh boy”. The photo’s make it seem very clean and quite nice. But this place was sadly very far from clean… like very very far. I will say - if you’re looking to meet new people and only need a place to sleep and do not mind excessive amounts of dust, dirt/grime, and mold - this is a solid choice. However, for the price, I truly do not believe this is worth it. I booked an APA hotel after my first night as it wasn’t that much more than what this Cabin hotel was, but the difference was night and day. After using the shower (which although it was nice how private it was, the mold and broken-down-ess of everything made me fear I’d get some kind of infection) I got a burning rash all over my neck and chest - could have been the shower, or towel, maybe dust?. But the shampoo + conditioners they have are pretty good! (Also no straighteners or dyson products like advertised lol) The bed itself is a little firm but relatively pretty comfy with a good amount of space. The initial pillow wasn’t enough for me so I asked for one more and they gave me a better pillow all together which was good! I do wish the ventilation was a bit better in the cabin but when you’re still after a while you “climatize” and it’s not that bad. Obviously it’s not very soundproof but people are quiet in the area.

The staff was friendly and fluent in English. The sleep pod is more comfortable than you would expect. There is an entire floor dedicated to showers and a large area with mirrors and hair dryers. It was very nice to have all of that available. They also have umbrellas to borrow, and provide sleepwear, eye masks, toothbrushes, shavers, shampoo/body wash, everything you need to be comfortable. There’s also in unit laundry so you can wash your clothes during your stay. I also enjoyed the views as you get a nice view of the shinjuku skyline. The cafe social area is nice too. It’s filled with travelers from all over and it’s very relaxing and mellow. The area it’s in has a Korean influence and the restaurants that surround it are great. And the train station is a 5 minute walk, and shinjuku is a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and was sad that I had to leave when I did.

The staff were very nice and capsule was always very clean. The bathrooms were regularly cleaned but the hotel has aged. Some of the shower vents are clogged or under maintenance. The toilet rooms are scuffed up and aged. The coffee machine was initially broken but was repaired after a few days. Not as mint as the pictures, but still a great deal for being near a train station.

The pillows in the pods were the worst I have ever seen or felt. I took off the pillow case and they were stained and yellow under the pillow case. Without exaggeration, they were the most uncomfortable pillow I have ever felt. They were lumpy, hard and uneven. I had to fold the sheet/duvet into a 12” square and use that as my pillow. Luckily the air conditioning in pod area was not adequate so I didn’t need that sheet.

The lounge area was nice and clean with a nice view of the city down below. The sleeping quarters were clean and cozy, maybe ask for an extra futon or something for your capsule because it was thin enough to feel the bottom of your capsule. It was in a pretty active area which made it nice to walk around at night to explore but not too active to where it was loud enough to hear it at night. Very nice as a solo female traveler, would stay again.

Staff is very gracious and accommodating. Lacation good, very close to the train station. Clean, cozy sleeping pod. The biggest plus was having access to the cafe after check-out. Check-out is at 1000 but our flight wasn’t until 2000. The ability to access the cafe, charge devises, securely store luggage, grab a cup of coffee and use the restroom while still exploring the city while waiting to leave for the airport was just wonderful. Would stay again.
