Very recommended hotel in Tokyo ⭐️

Really great hotel. RYOGOKU is a cool place, feels more local. Very close taxi to asakusa. Amazing zen garden right across the street! Hotel staff is 5 star and the house keeping is 5 star. Super quiet and comfortable and spacious room. I’ll be back for sure

We enjoyed all aspects of the hotel. The room lighting could be improved, especially in the bathroom. We were headed to another Gate hotel to pick up our tour and they made the transfer for us.

Exceptional stay. The room was spacious and the toilet was comfortable and clean. Terrace overlooked the city and you could see the Tokyo Skytree. Also of note is how sound-proofed the rooms were!

The hotel is literally across the sumo hall. Its very convenient, walking distance to restaurants. It's 7 mins drive to Skytree Tower. I just hope the room has a dresser.

The room was nice and clean. A good size for Japan. They provided bottled water, which was nice. The bed was relatively comfortable but nothing special. Linens were clean. The downside is the location, as there was nothing to do in the immediate vicinity. Only an expensive steak restaurant above. The entrance to the hotel is also very lacklustre and the view was terrible.

I enjoyed my stay at THE GATE HOTEL RYOGOKU. The location by the river gave it a calm, scenic feel that set it apart from the busier parts of Tokyo. The staff were efficient and clearly well-trained — while not especially warm, their professionalism kept everything running smoothly. The real highlight was the restaurant. The food was outstanding, and I was especially glad I tried the breakfast one morning — it was worth it. Overall, a well-run hotel in a great setting, with excellent dining and a polished, professional atmosphere.
