I really had no clue what to expect with this. The staff were very very friendly, but the fellow travellers were who I had issues with. One person was snoring right below me, another guy was video calling with someone despite people trying to sleep, and signs saying NO VIDEO CALLING IN SLEEPING AREA! The staff were great though, and the facilities were really great too.
Good Place to stay. Convenient Transportation opportunities to the city. Staff was very friendly and spoke english. Cabins were very quite and tidy. The only thing I didn't like was the storage. Luggage does not fit into the lockers and is stored openly in the main entrance. If you travel with a suitcase bigger than a small cabin bag, there is no place to open it (for example to get new clothes out of it) other than within the main entrance room in front of everyone. That lack of privacy made me a bit uncomfortable.
The hotel itself was a very nice stay but there was only one restaurant around and some of the staff seemed incredibly mad that we didn't speak Japanese. We were prepared to use google translate as we did with every other hotel we stayed at during our trip but the second she saw we didn't speak Japanese, she pushed us off onto another employee. I think she thought we were going to assume that she spoke English because she wasn't Japanese and that's probably the reason why she didn't want to deal with us. The gentleman who did check us in was lovely and helped us tremendously.
Fantastic hotel, perfect for solo travellers or those looking for a great deal. There were three lovely ladies I spoke with at the front desk, two were Russian, they were the ones to help check me in. They didn't speak fluent English but they made every effort and were able to explain it just fine since this was my first capsule hotel. I would take one star away for two reasons, the capsules have a fan to pull in air, which the hotel is air conditioned but once you close the bamboo screen for privacy they get a bit warm. Secondly the location is in a bit of an industrial area which was weird but it was close to Shinonome line so it was still easy to get around. The showers are excellent but could use more ventilation. They provide PJ's, slippers, toothbrush, etc. The lockers are big enough for a duffle bag and any suitcases are locked in the main lobby.
The showers could have been cleaner. The ventilation fans had a very sizeable amount of dust built up and some black spots in the harder to clean areas. The pods did not have sufficient ventilation and were a bit warm for my liking because of this. The locker system they had implemented felt very convoluted compared to other capsule hotels I've stayed at, as every other hotel aside from this one has allowed luggage to go with the guests to their respective floor. The entire system felt like luggage was an afterthought to putting people into rooms.
I thought it was ok for the price. Facilities were extremely clean and other guests were respectful of others. As a woman traveling by herself, I felt safe staying there overnight.
It was my first stay at a capsule hotel and I wish I would have gotten more guidance from the staff when I first checked in. Staff did not speak English (which is fine, you're in Japan after all!) but was not necessarily welcoming or friendly when I was trying to ask questions. I felt like I was bothering them, but they seemed to be happy to answer questions from locals. Maybe it was just my assumption.
The hotel is located in a very industrial area and there are no restaurants around. However, a subway station is only 5 min away. Very convenient!
Wouldn't necessarily stay there again but I would definitely recommend it if you're travelling on a budget.
Typical capsule hotels without any added values such as sauna, etc, but very neat and clean at any time of day and night.
Ofcourse, you have to be aware to free the room between 10 am and 4 pm every day and it's a simple capsule to sleep in, so luggage left at reception and you can hear everything and everybody - but welcoming was great, everything brandnew and REALLY clean and the kitchen / lounge room on 4th floor was great.
Littel bit far out from everything, beside Daiba Area (for a short visit).
