Ricardo and Roberto were amazing hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maria, the server and Nadia at the front desk were very accommodating. The hotel was clean, and our family felt very safe. Beds were great and views were amazing from our terraces! Highly recommend Hitel Lago!

This hotel is a very quiet beautiful hotel. Family ran which I love! Roberto was so accommodating. He picked me up from the airport in Milan and during my stay drove me to Como and picked me up. The rest of the staff helped guide me to the walking path so I could easily get to different restaurants in Torno. The beds were super comfortable… breakfast was fantastic and the dinner was so tasty. They do not have a pool which I would have enjoyed but that’s ok. This hotel had everything we needed and more!

We had the most disturbing experience with this hotel, with the owner precisely, for writing our truthful review on Google Maps. In our first morning, we got out of the shower, fully naked and the housekeeping barged into our room using a master key, leaving us feeling violated. We reported the incident to the front desk, but there was no follow-up or investigation. They said they were sorry but nothing could be done, which left us frustrated and upset. Upon checkout, the hotel didn’t assist with calling a taxi, and we had to use their shuttle service, which cost double what a metered taxi would have. The owner himself drove us to the train station and berated us the entire way, shouting about our review and threatening to blacklist us from hotels in Italy. He displayed blatant racism, saying, “this is Italy and not China,” despite knowing our nationality from our passports. His aggressive demeanor made us feel unsafe in the car. After we arrived, we took a photo of his license plate to report the incident to Expedia. He then confronted us, coming 1-inch close to my wife's face, demanding we delete the photo of his car plate and threatening to call the police. We felt increasingly unsafe and WE wanted to call the police. When we tried to call, he drove off. This was a traumatic experience, especially considering we entrusted the hotel with our personal information and expected to be treated with dignity and respect. Instead, we faced hostility and threats.

This was such an awesome family run hotel. Beautiful view from a modern and super clean room. From Sofia at the from to Riccardo at the restaurant to the owner Roberto. Highly recommended. Just know the location is in torno which is super quiet and away from the crowds. This however means you either have to take the public bus (stop right across the hotel) or use the private transfer that they offer to get to the more crowded places like Bellagio. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything Hotel Lago Team!

Definitely stay here for Lake Como!

Hotel Lago and everybody that works there are amazing. The lake view is totally worth it, the breakfast was amazing and the parking was easy to navigate. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I would 100% stay here again in the future and wish our stay was longer!

Hotel Lago ****

New hotel with magnificent views! Really enjoyed the comfort of the room and the breakfast selection was fresh was superb. The owner is very friendly and staff was very helpful. Very neat and clean, everything is basically brand new. Highly recommended for Lake Como stay. We are visiting Lake Como for 3 nights and are moving location every night.

Hotel Lago is a cute family owned boutique hotel about 5 minutes away from Como. The Hotel staff were very accommodating and ensured we were always happy. The free breakfast was amazing as well as the dinner menu. Would definately stay again!!
